A super-flexible vintage-style fuzz with hand-selected germanium transistors.
The Neo Fuzz v.2 effects pedal delivers the crème de la crème of vintage fuzz tone powered by a pair of hand-selected germanium transistors.
Ultimate flexibility comes from eight controls for Fuzz, Load, Bias, Body, Tone, Volume, Tame switch, and an internal gain trimmer.
Gain control:
Navigate the Neo Fuzz v.2's huge gain range, from nothing to sustain for days. It can be used as a low-gain device (for a fat, bluesy bite) or for all-out fuzz madness.
Internal gain trimmer:
To tame the Neo Fuzz v.2, use this internal control.
Load control:
This is a variable input impedance, used to match the Neo Fuzz to humbuckers or single-coil pickups. You can also use it to go from a traditional fuzz sound to a more articulate one with detailed highs.
Bias control:
Use this to set up the operating point of the transistors, from a fat, symmetrical fuzz to an asymmetrical 'mosquito' buzz, or even a gated synth-like sound!
Body control:
This knob is a dedicated midrange control—the most important frequencies for determining how your tone sits in with the rest of the band.
Tone control:
Controls both the lows and highs as opposed to being a high cut filter. Think of it as bass and treble controls rolled into one. The combination of the Tone and Body controls is like having a 3-band EQ at your disposal.
Volume control:
With plenty of output to spare, you can use the New Fuzz v.2 to overdrive your amp.
3-position Tame switch:
This brightness switch helps tame the high-end. It's useful if you're using your Neo Fuzz v.2. with a bright, modern-voiced clean channel or with overdrive pedals.
Powered by 9V battery or optional DC power supply. The Neo Fuzz v.2 needs its own independent power supply, as the internal polarity is reversed since the germanium transistors require a negative supply voltage. True bypass.

Caveat: I have v.1 of this pedal, but the knobs are the same, and someone's got to review this little masterpiece.I have had this pedal for a year and it basically replaced all other distortion, overdrive, and fuzz pedals on my board. It does everything. At low gains, it's got a subtle crunch, midway up it's a hearty distortion, and at high gain it's brickwall fuzz. The key is, being a germanium fuzz (as opposed to silicon), it's much, much more versatile than your typical fuzz pedal. I'm completely in love. I'll have one on my board forever.Normally I dislike too many knobs but the 4 little ones are really useful here. Tone is self-explanatory, but cranking the "body" gives you fat mids for soloing, while messing with the bias changes the sound from thick distortion to splatter fuzz. I haven't even messed with the three-way toggle in the middle. I'll get there eventually. I use a '74 Gibson L6-S and the Neo Fuzz fits it like a glove. Combined, they give me ridiculously good tone at virtually all settings.Only annoying thing about the Neo Fuzz is that it's got reverse polarity so it needs an independent 9v power supply or battery. No 1-spots or power bricks. I hope they fix this for V.3, if possible.
