This thing works great. I use it with my bass guitar. It dose not sound like a SVT. In addition, it will not sound like a full stack Marshall. You will get what you pay for here. I can sit in bed and play my guitar while my wife watches TV. I never have to pull out my practice amp any more. If I am playing to loud, I do not have to get up to turn it down. I can jump up and walk out of the room without unplugging or missing a note. It is as I am wireless now!The Mighty Moe guitar strap is everything I expected. One refreshing note, the owners of this company are top shelf people that stand by there product. A.A.A.A. PLUS.Now my practice amp is in my guitar case. So far, it is holding up fine. The single 9 volt is the original that came with the amp/strap. I have not powered up any of my three bass rigs since I got this.

Absolutly LOVE the idea behind this thing! In the future I'm sure they will work out reliability issues. Purchased this for my 10 year old son to take on vacation and play for his grandparents. It worked great around our house for a few days but did not survive the plane trip. Once there he plugged it in and nothing but static. This was particularly hurtful because he sees them only once a year and although we had sent them a few short vids, they had never heard him play in person. Wound up exchanging it for the mini Marshall MS-4 which I had intended to buy before this caught my eye. Again, EXCELLENT idea but the quality and durability just isn't there yet. For now I would have to recommend the Marshall MS-4 over the Mighty Moe. It's not as convenient but sounds much better overall and I believe will be more durable in the long run

It works, I'll give it that

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

If you need a sound to come out of your strap when you play, then this is your option. And it works. The problem is the sound. I don't need effects, or big sound, but I do need clean sound, and that was lacking. The closest I could get was a clean sound of a guitar mixed with a duck, which severaly limits the types of songs you can play. The overdrive was fine, so if you want to play Motley Crue in the living room to annoy your parents then this might be just what you wanted.
The strap itself is cheap plastic. It will probably break.
It is pretty inexpensive, and it does work so if you like the sounds it makes the value is high.

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

The leather strap just below the amp tore after 30 mins. of use. Amps not much good if the strap is broke.

I like Mighty Moe for Many Reasons

By peter Belltronix

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

I like this amp enough to write this review.
I got this little ampstrap to practice with my friend inhis apartment. Its perfect. Long as I don't push the volume, I get a nice clear sound out of my acoustic. It doubles the volume of my Taylor before breaking up - which in itself ain't a bad sound!
Good enough...everything is there -- volume, overdrive, battery hutch.
For the price... a steal

Cool Mandolin Accessory

By Sy

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

There's not alot of accessories for mandolins out there. No stomp boxes or special amps or crazy colors so the Mighty Moe (designed for guitars) is an excellent mandolin accessory. I play an (electric) mandolin with other loud acoustic guitar players. Mighty Moe gives me enough juice to be heard. I recommend it for mandolin.

Cooler than I thought

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

I've played them all - Pignose to Amp-U-Plug-And-Play. This one has the best tone and its on a real nice strap with cord.
This little guy is so loud for it's tiny size. The Overdrive is off-the-hook!
Good enough for who its for.
Cost as much as many leather straps that are just leather straps.

I'd like to endorse this product

By PitBoss

from Left Coast

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

This little amp does what it sets out to do very well. It is so lite and small and it has become a full time resident in my guitar case. When the volume is applied sensibly, it sounds good. The over drive is killer and almost loud enough to hurt.I'm glad someone finally got around to inventing this.

What a Great Idea!

By leftygtr

from Houston, Texas

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

I have called this the "coolest invention I've seen in awhile." Finally you're set free from cables (similar to the way you feel when you go wireless)! Now I can kick back on my back-porch and jam a little, if the phone rings, i dont have to unplug and untangle myself from amps, effects, etc...It also solves the problem I've always had with small practice amps - if they're very small, your cable will knock them over, pull them off the table, etc...The only negatives I would give it is that to me, it doesnt sound that great with a bass guitar, which is a shame it's not more multi-functional there. It doesn't sound like a $1000-tube amp, but it sounds like you'd expect for something in this price range and serves its purpose - a super-convenient way to practice.

GREAT BUY!!!!!

Comments about Mighty Moe AmpStrap:

The mighty moe amp strap is a great thing to own when you just want to walk around or practice with a small band. I have only owned it a few days but its already amazed me, the distortion could be worked on but its a great step forward for more portable guitars. the headphones are great for just practicing those solos you havent got yet and I think that with some more tweaks this could be a great thing for anyone to own
