Build up your sound with a killer chorus that doesn’t ask for much space or cash.

Get that rich chorus sound for less with the ModTone mini-Mod MTM-CH Chorus guitar effect pedal. Since the first guitarist ran his signal through a rotating speaker, the quest for the perfect chorus effect has been toiled. The Mini-Mod chorus will liven your sound with a rich, wet, sautéed smorgasbord of modulated tone. Level, Rate and Depth knobs allow you to adjust to create killer tones for rhythms, strumming or rock leads.

The sealed metal body is small enough to fit into the palm of your hand, or on even the most crowded pedalboard. You’ll sound like you paid hundreds, but you’ll pay substantially less.

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I had high hopes for this pedal when it first arrived...but that was short lived..Like all five of the Mod Tone pedals I purchased this one came with a dead battery. The Mini Mod Delay pedal went bad first. This Chorus pedal went bad about a week later...all of them came with loose nuts that needed to be tightened & of course dead batteries that needed removed (a bit of a task on the Mini Mods...) I would not recommend any Mod Tone pedal to anyone simply due to to VERY POOR customer service. There is no customer service line & they are extremely slow in answering emails...(which leaves you with a useless pedal...) I have been dealing with them for a week & a half without resolving any issues. MF corrected the first bad pedal in 10-15 minutes & hooked me up with an awesone Digitech delay...Equipment is only as good as the people who stand behind it.

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

Decent sounding chorus, I'm not a real stickler but this one does a couple of cute tricks. Probably my favorite chorus pedal is the old (and huge!) Danelectro Cool Cat, which is a true stereo chorus with two outputs and requiring two batteries. The ModTone unit doesn't sound nearly as lush as the Dano, but it has a "depth" knob so it can be really subtle. I use this for my acoustic guitar and I leave it on pretty much all the time, but at a barely noticeable level. It adds a little fatness and sparkle, and for that it's pretty good. Also, there seems to be a trend for smaller and smaller pedals. While this is a good idea in theory, it's sometimes hard to hit only one pedal when you have a couple of them side-by-side and your foot is three times as wide as one unit. The cool wedge shape of this little guy allows me to set it at an angle which separates two other little pedals I was stomping at the same time.

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

It's WAY more heavy than it looks. The metal housing is thick and will stand up to years of abuse. In my setup, it's a tad noisy when you really have the effect turned up.

One bad thing is that the battery compartment is screwed on. It only has two screws BUT the screw protrudes down into the battery compartment. The battery that came with the pedal had a large dent in it from where the assembler had screwed the back panel on. I replaced the battery and was careful to not let the battery interfere with the screw. I'm sure as it vibrates, the screw will scratch the battery but not enough to scratch a hole into it releasing the battery's lovely liquid center...

I'm a bass player… I always compare Chorus pedal to my favorite old Boss CE-2 and this thing actually comes real close!! The low end does't suffer when it's engaged, so kudos' to MOD...

To me, it's really usable and will probably go on my pedalboard, replacing my CE-2 so I can preserve it...

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've owned three of these pedals (two different overdrive pedals and the Chorus Pedal) and I have to say that the tone of these MiniTone pedals are wonderful...a great sound at a bargain price. That being said, I also need to mention that two of the three came from the factory with screws in the battery access area in so tight that it took multiple tools and much time/aggravation to get the screws loosened. One screw stripped out and I had to send the pedal home with someone for their help. They eventually had to break the screw and found that a screw had been put in at the factory that was so long it had damaged the battery. When I encountered this with a second pedal I immediately stopped before stripping out the screw and sought outside help again. Also on that pedal the input jack nut was stripped because the jack itself was installed at an angle. I love the sound of these pedals and that they're true bypass so I "cautiously" recommend with some reservation.

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

First chorus for me so very little to compare to.
Unit arrived with dead battery and no instruction on changing, therefore a flick of the pedal and no sound.
I called and sent email about a week later, it was confirmed that indeed the two screws at the bottom remove, and base plate comes off.
So easy, now I know. Simple, I know, but who wants to take a chance on breaking something just for lack of info?

I like the sound this pedal adds, good for the soul sound and more. Now trying to decide on next one or two..

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

Great for the price (especially with the one-day Musician's Friend half-price offer as advertised on FaceBook!). Haven't gotten to this issue yet, but it seems like it will be difficult to change batteries. The screws on the bottom of the unit appeared to be the only means of doing so. When I finally was able to remove them (with great difficulty, needing a small, non-Phillips screwdriver for the Phillips screws), it did not leave the unit in a position to even see where the battery is. Someone please help me figure out how to change the battery before I need to do so!

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

First off, this is a great pedal at a great price. I got it on the Facebook Stupid Deal of the Day so it was even cheaper than what it usually is. I sat down and played it for a couple hours and decided it's a very versatile pedal that fits all my needs. I play a lot of new wave/post punk so it's a great tool in making my guitar tone stand out. I'm playing it through my Marshall MA50C and Gibson SG and it sounds excellent.

As far as versatility, you can get really warbly or a nice shimmering sound from it. The three knobs are very expressive, helpful, and feel like pretty heavy duty. It's small size fits great on a pedal board and it is true bypass! It's completely noiseless when turned off and going through your signal chain.

As great as it sounds, it can be a little noisy when the pedal is on and you're not playing loud or hard. It's almost like there is a slight click coming from the pedal when you're not constantly playing it. I am using Monster cables that have no background noise or grounding issues, and my Yamaha Flanger and Boss DS-1 are very quiet. I've isolated the sound to this pedal, but my Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor cleans it up quite well (I suggest everyone has a Decimator or Noise Suppressor anyways).

So, if you're in the market for an expressive and quality chorus pedal, look no further. For this price, you're getting an amazing deal. I can't wait to buy the Mini-Mod Delay from these guys, they just made me a fan!
