OVERVIEW

Analog circuitry with digital precision in one tiny package

With the ModTone Mini-Mod MTM-DLY delay guitar effects pedal you can enjoy the warm tone of analog circuitry and the precision of a digital chip. Mini-Mod marries two technologies to produce one of the most sought after delay sounds on the market today. The all-analog circuitry first produces the rich warm enhanced signal created between your guitars pickups and the pedal, and then the digital chip repeats the signal with Swiss-clock precision.

The compact, all-metal body fits in the palm of your hand and easily onto even the most crowded pedalboard. The densely overlaid textures of the MTM-DLY can create an assortment of effects, from haunting ethereal, to rockabilly slap-back, to trippy vibes straight out of outer space. If you want to freak out the neighbors, or just experiment with rubbery delay without breaking the bank, the ModTone Mini-Mod Delay pedal is just the right effects pedal for you.

As stated before, I own this pedal. I use this pedal all the time. I record with it. Play out with it. For my needs and the price, it cannot be beat. If you are considering this pedal, do not hesitate!
Doesn't have the longest delay time, but it is absolutely perfect for that classic slap echo tone, but can also be dialed in for some great textual echoes with lots of repeats. Great for my delay needs.
All metal casing, this little baby is built like a tank. It is a mainstay of my pedalboard and holds its own.
Great build, great tone, 5 year warranty. For the price, nothing compares.

I had high hopes for this pedal when I first got it (even though it came with a dead battery)...however after using it a time or two in the studio it completely died...right in the middle of a good jam...Musicians Friend stood tall & helped me replace it with a great Digitech....which turned out to be great due to the fact that I had another Moni Mod (Chorus) go bad a week later (out of MF 45 day warranty) and I quickly learned that Mod Tone customer service leaves a lot to be desired....Frankly, I would not recommend any Mod Tone equipment due to VERY POOR customer service...they don't even have a customer service phone line & are very slow to answer emails...not much when you consider MF will handle most problems in 10-15 minutes...

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is an absolute piece of garbage.
Its wicked noisy, no pass through, eats batteries and just sounds plain awful.

Went to change the battery and the bottom screws strip like butter

Just really really an awful pedal.

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've been really impressed with this little pedal, especially for the price. The tone is very nice, analog warm. Works well with my other pedals, no tone suck or anything and w/ true bypass. Sturdy metal body, the knobs are plastic but still everything seems solid; I believe it will outlast its 5 year warranty. The "downsides" to this thing really aren't even that, because it should be pretty clear what you're getting when you order it. Whatever I would add to make it better would just increase the cost and maybe size, kinda of doing away with the whole point of this thing. Not having an indicator light or tap tempo feature to give you a sense of the delay time is the hardest thing to work around, but mainly I keep it dialed in on a subtle ambience type delay for solos which it works great with, and then I use a more sophisticated delay pedal to program in specific, more nuanced delays. With the two, it makes performing easier knowing I can always just turn on this delay if I ad hoc want to fill out the sound more, and since it's incredibly small and fairly cheap, it's easy to have the two pedal system. The three parameters it does have work very well and are individually responsive, allowing you to get a range of delays and sounds within them. Keep in mind, its delay time isn't long (I think 500ms), so this isn't the pedal for you if you like long, very featured types of delays. If you're looking for a solid, good sounding, affordable pedal to color your sound a bit, buy it.

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I picked this up based on reviews and price. It seems very well-built. The knobs feel solid and it definitely does what it says.
The only problem is if you want to change a battery you have to unscrew the bottom plate to access the battery. That is why it got a 4, otherwise it would get a 5.

Comments about Modtone Mini-Mod Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Only had this unit for a short time but so far so good. Before I bought it I watched several YouTube vids that showed me what to expect. It wasn't much of a gamble considering it was the featured Stupid Deal of the Day + free shipping. Seems to do everything that it's supposed to and I've had fun with it in my studio. My only con is that the access panel to get to the (included) battery is very difficult to open. I can't complain too much, better too tight than too loose + it's all metal. I made a little tab for the panel so next time it will be a snap to open. All in all I'm happy playing with my new toy.

This pedal sounds great! It is so quiet you can't tell whether it is on or not. No humm no buzz. Batteries die kind of fast but it sounds beautiful and has a pretty good range for the price. Build quality is good. Doesn't feel cheap or like it will break easily.

Way too expensive for what it offers. If it were half the price I might buy it as a back up or just to break open and modify. Maybe for my kid to use?
