Get top quality electronics, and vintage style components in this Modtone pedal

The Modtone MT-AD Delay Effect Pedal features an exclusive analog circuitry coupled with a PT-2399 processing chip. This unique hybrid combination delivers a warm lush sounding delay reminiscent of the solely analog circuits of yesteryear without the unnecessary bulk or excessive price. Housed in a compact sealed corrosion resistant metal chassis that's built to last, the MT-AD delay pedal boasts a simple 3 knob configuration that enables you to custom tailor your sound for maximum performance and starts with a screaming blue LED light that lets you know you're armed and ready.

The "Time" knob (130ms to 350ms) allows you to go from a quick doubling effect all the way to vast and expansive bliss while the "Repeat" knob lets you control the amount of regeneration from zero to all out never-ending chaos. Twist the "Mix" knob to control the blend of your wet/dry signal for just a touch of effect or crank it up for a full blown Floyd-ish wash.

The Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay, like the whole family of ModTone guitar effect pedals, features period correct vintage style components, smooth linear taper pots, high impact switches built for the floor and top quality jacks for optimum tonal transfer. Get Mod baby.

OK, first off I have been playing for about 14 years and like/ play just about every genre. I am not a professional, however I have had BOSS, IBANEZ, MXR, AND DOD delays. The Modtone is not a 100 percent analog delay, but if your looking for slap back, echo, and moderate delays this is it. This is a hybrid pedal (analog with a processor chip) and you can not tell. I am sure if you were to record with pro tools you would, but come on. If you don't want to break your wallet buy this. It is affordible, has killer tone and will mix well with other pedals.

First off I'm a bass player by trade and this was the first delay pedal I'd bought. I had messed with delays on my Line 6 pods and what not in the past and decided to get this guy. I really like the noise and soundscapes I could make with it but this annoying pop that occurs when I turn it on really got to me. It got worse as time went on. My guitar player then bought the mxr carbon copy and it was way more lush and smooth and didn't have that annoying pop when turned on. Aside from that it's an excellent pedal. But like I said before the pop totally ruins it for me and it more than likely will for you. I suggest getting the Carbon copy it may be a bit more but it's worth it.

    OK I guess

    By funkymann1

Comments about Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay Pedal:

Ok pedal but there is better.
you can ok echos & slapback runing from the front of the amp, not very good to throw in a loop for a channel switching amp though
I had two of these running thru the front of my amp. one for echo & one for slap back....i was getting a loud hum from my pedal board forever when I would use high gain settings & I thought it was my power supply...spent the money on a voodoo lab & still had the hum...turned out to be one of these pedals was giving the hum even when it was off.....
buy a carbon copy, these are not the greatest & its only a little more.

    ModTone Vintage Analog Delay Pedal

    By John Lambert

    from Chicago

Comments about Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay Pedal:

The pedal does exactly what I had hoped it would do.It is quiet and seems to be built well.I'm certainly happy with the purchase
Seems to be a quality build.Ask me in a year:)
Priced a little bit less than the boutique pedals.Made in China.Sounds great. If it remains functional for the next few years then I would consider it quite a bargain.

    Mod Tone Delay

Comments about Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay Pedal:

I don't know if it is a bad or poor pedal, it just didn't give the delays I wanted, nor had much range.
I went cash in hand and tried 3 different make of delay pedal, and this was my last choice and not purchased.

The delays are limited, the thing pops on and off which was the very first thing I noticed and it was rather mushy sounding all round. It didn't go home with me.
Hard to say, but the enclosure seems solit and it has a cool paintjob.
Against, MXR or Electro harmonix, it's an uphill battle for this little pedal. It has a good footprint for a board, but I found it limited in it's sonic pallette. I used it and two others in store for almost an hour.

    It Pretty Good....

    By Travesty

    from Empress Alberta

Comments about Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay Pedal:

It's not analog and it also makes a pop sound when ever you click it on... what makes it worse is the pop echos. But if you playing loud you cant notice the pop, only when your softly playing. It also colours tone a little bit, it brightens it. but overall pretty good pedal.

    great pedal

    By tonequest-T70rc

Comments about Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay Pedal:

Had a boss dd3 for about 6 years that took a dump and had several people tell me this was a solid delay pedal. I purchased and love it! no noise or lose of signal, just warm delay. Be aware that all modtone pedals are not true bypass, I bought an aqua chorus based on how much I liked the delay and didn't discover it was a buffered bypass until I added it to my pedal board and it sucked all the tone from my signal. Anyways good job modtone on the delay, you should make all your pedals true bypass.

    Cool analog sound!

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay Pedal:

Bought it for the space saving on my pedalboard and a different sound than digital. Very spacish sound. Right for chicken picking but alittle slappy for metal solos. Great pedal, bright LED, 9v adapter on top, "that's a plus." To me a bit pricy for the size and feel but it is a sturdy pedal.

    Great for country or rockabilly

    By Telefan-IYlha

    from Shepherdsville, KY

Comments about Modtone MT-AD Vintage Analog Delay Pedal:

This is a great pedal for a quick slapback sound or a slightly longer country style delay. It isn't made for the long Pink Floyd or U2 style delay sounds so if that is what you need this may not be the pedal for you, however you need something for country or rockabilly this is a hard deal to beat.
