Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 is due to the lack of power hook up's. This board has far more pedal room, than the power lines that come with it. Because of this, you have to invest in a 1 spot, to add your extra pedals. I've had this board longer than I can remember, and never had a problem. I took a 2 X 2 and cut it to fit the top edge of the board, which allowed the board to tilt back toward me more than it did. There is no way to wear this board out, and any electrical problem could be easily fixed. The price could be less, but all of them are priced higher than they should be.
Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
Very happy with the board. Could be exceptional with an input/output feature, but that's really a minor point. I like the larger board as it gives me a lot of extra space to put any pedals I like, and it encourages me to get more pedals!
The power output across the top is very very convenient. If it had an input/output built into the board that would be the icing on the cake. An adjustable angle might be nice too, but again... nitpicking.
Good "carpet" on the board, great quality supplied velcro, plenty of power leads, great case.
I looked at a lot of pedal boards, both online and in-store, and decided on this one. It is one of the larger ones, and for the price it really worth it.
Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
It's a good board for the price. I attached a hinged piece of wood on the back to make it angled for eay access because the board is a little too flat for me. Power supply cable is fine and pedal board does what it is supposed to do. Surface is not velcor (hook and loop) but a felt-like material.
No frills..it does what it is supposed to. Power supply cord feels a little cheap but board is well made MDF.
Would benefit from some refining but mostly you can save your money by buying this board and then modifying it to your liking. Pedalboards, as a whole, are way over-priced for what they actually do.
Good value.
Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
i've had this pedalboard for about a year now and i have had no problems with it at all. the power suply is great and can hold lots of pedals. It might be a little short on real estate depending on how many pedals you have but should be be big enough for most players. Just one little minor detail is the lenght of the power cable that goes to an outlet. It is a little short but usually isnt a problem you can always bring an extension cable absolutly worst case secario. overall im really happy i went with this pedalboard over its competitors and is everything you need with a pedalboard and great for the price.
Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
i bought one of these about six months ago...i gig pretty heavy...the only thing i have noticed so far is the velcro that comes with it is worthless, sticky backing peeled right off the velcro, so if you order one, go buy velcro to use...i had a problem with the power supply, took it back to the store and got a new one, no more issues...the zipper on the front seems tough too...i keep extra strings and picks in there...i like that you can coil your cables up after a set and zip it closed and your done...quickness off the stage is always a plus.
Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
I have had this board for about a year now and it still works fine. ( My other main board is a Furman - nice). This Modetone one comes with all the cables and velcro you need to connect up to 8 pedals 9VDC and I measured the outputs;they are all spot on. I have 6 pedals on it currently with 2 being wah sized. I use this board as a backup / testing board. I agree it would probabaly not hold up to alot of abuse but for the price there are not a whole lot of other choices out there (I think SKB has one in this price range worth a look.) My only complaints are, it could be priced lower, and the surface is not what I would call true velcro "hook and loop" but some type of black fuzzy material so if you move pedals around be prepared to get the scissors out to trim off the fuzz that comes off with it. I would not use this for anything but around the house or other protected location(s). I added a second strap to mine (from Home Depot)around the board to help hold the pedals in place when moving or storeing other than flat as they may come loose. The other way to go with be with a non powered board and DC/Brick or spend more money. Also if you have pedals that have other than 9VDC or wall warts (adapters) you would need a powerstrip or something.
Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
I have been using this for several months and it seems to be working pretty good. Not sure how it would hold up to heavy abuse but if you are not planning on doing a world wide tour I think it is fine. I did have to use a separate power supply for my preamp effects because I was getting a hum from running my effects loop and preamp effects together on this power supply.
Comments about Modtone MT-PB8 Powered Pedalboard:
This pedal board can power 8 9volt pedals! It's perfect for me. It even comes with velcro tape to secure everything. It comes with a great padded gigbag too. Over all, for the money this has to be the best pedal board around.
