OVERVIEW

A compact pedal that replicates beautiful acoustic tones with three different modes.

The Mooer Acoustikar Acoustic Guitar Simulator transforms your electric guitar into a beautifully simulated realistic acoustic sound. It features 3 modes: Piezo, Standard and Jumbo. The Piezo mode simulates the piezo pickup from an acoustic-electric guitar. Standard mode simulates a normal acoustic guitar. Jumbo mode gives you more low end and resonance by simuating a large bodied acoustic. Its full metal casing makes it durable and road ready and like most great effects pedals it has true bypass.

FEATURES
  • 3 Working Modes: Piezo/Standard/Jumbo

This thing's strong points are that with single coil pickups you can catch a pretty good variety of acoustic guitar sounds. With humbucking pickups it doesn't really acomplish a very good acoustic sound, but you can use it to really clean up your tone, and I mean a LOT! It's well built, and it's small enough to squeeze onto an already crowded pedal board. I like it a lot better than the Boss pedal, and it has true bypass as well!

Comments about Mooer Acoustikar Acoustic Guitar Simulator Effects Pedal:

I've been looking for a good acoustic simulator at a budget price and this one does the job for me. It does pretty much everything I expected it to do and saves space on my board. The controls are pretty straight forward and there is a good range of sounds you can get out of this for being such a compact pedal.

The only con that I have, mostly because of the way I like to chain my pedals, is that the position of the input/output jacks for Mooer Pedals are different than most. I have a couple Boss and TC pedals and I like to use couplers when I can to save space, so the offset in Mooer pedals throws it off a little bit, but its not too much of a problem.

Comments about Mooer Acoustikar Acoustic Guitar Simulator Effects Pedal:

Brings your electric very close to acoustic, but the discriminating ear can differentiate, so probably not good for recording. Piezo mode worked best for what I wanted. The low price and quality makes it so my acoustic can stay home - no more switching guitars...just click and go!

Comments about Mooer Acoustikar Acoustic Guitar Simulator Effects Pedal:

Believe the hype. Yes, Mooer is a Chinese company. But they make incredibly well built pedals, and despite this thing's remarkably small size (it's about the size of the box that Matchbox cars used to come in), it's built like a tank. Works infinitely better than that acoustic simulator from that certain large effects company. Very simple controls, just a little tweaking and I could find my sound for both standard and jumbo acoustics. You definitely want to use this with either a single coil pickup, or a humbucker in split coil mode ... a straight-ahead humbucker isn't going to give you the right tone. But follow that simple instruction, and you have a tremendous addition to your pedal board. Only caveat: this pedal does NOT take any batteries. You need to plug it into a standard 9v adapter (or into your powered board).

It is cool. Adds some shimmer to the dry electric sound so it is more acoustic. Very nice....

Comments about Mooer Acoustikar Acoustic Guitar Simulator Effects Pedal:

I've had this pedal for a few weeks now, and I'm still amazed at how good it sounds. I took a chance when I bought it because I had never heard of this company or product before. I simply purchased it based on reviews I had read. This pedal produces very authentic-sounding acoustic tones. I use my PRS guitars (without Piezo pickups) with the humbuckers in single-coil mode and I just love the tones Im getting. They're very compact in size and the price can't be beat. I'd give this pedal 5 stars but I don't know how durable and reliable it'll be over time. If you're thinking about buying one, just get it. You see what I mean!

Comments about Mooer Acoustikar Acoustic Guitar Simulator Effects Pedal:

This pedal is half the price of the Boss AC-3 but twice the quality. The Mooer is reasonably priced where quality pedals are concerned.

The 3-way switch is more or less a 3-way mid switch. In Jumbo mode, you get a beefy, clean tone. On a Fender J bass, I will just use the neck pickup, turn on the Mooer, and it sounds great for the Latin stuff I like to play. I put it before the Keeley Bassist compressor to keep it from booming too much.

I'm not a jazz player but I would say it would work great for that. The Mooer really mellows out your bass tone, so it's probably not for playing rock music.

This pedal can hiss slightly if you have tweeters on your bass cabinets. I just leave the Top knob at the halfway point so it's not so noisy.
