I just bought this pedal a little over a week ago, and finally it came in the mail today (I'm currently living in South Korea). When I first took it out of the package, I was impressed with the sheer quality of the metal casing. This thing is built to last. It's a little heavy and bulky, but not to the point where it would become a chore to move around. The grip on the footpedal is perfect if you're like me and you tend to move around a lot when you play. I tested how easy it was for your foot to slip and for you to accidentally kill your set volume, and you'd pretty much have to fall on it for that to happen. The pedal itself is very sturdy, and it doesn't move until you want it to. I was anxious all day at work to try it out, and was excited to finally get the opportunity to plug it in and give it a whirl. Simply put, it does its job extremely well. Make you sure put it as the last pedal in your chain out to your amp so that it doesn't interfere with your gain. The minimum volume feature is extremely handy for ensuring you're never too quiet, and even while running some crushing low-end distortion through my ML-2 Metal Core pedal, it gave me dead silence when I put it to the upright position. Well worth the money if you're looking for durability and quality.

I own three of these pedals, each one different in cosmetics. I run one of these pedals through my effects loop as a rhythm/lead boost. The oldest one worked great until it saw too much stage usage and was starting to go out on me. The next one had a different volume taper and had too much volume boost even when the knob was turned all the way. I had to put rubber feet under the back edge of the pedal to lesson the range to make it work for me. I later bought a third one as a backup and the same problem from the second one was amplified even worse, so bad that I can't even use it. I am currently in search of a better built, more consistant volume pedal.

Comments about Morley Little Alligator Volume Pedal:

A really great volume pedal. This is a passive pedal that works well with the guitar. The response is good, the sound quality is excellent and best of all, it's compact design makes this pedal "user friendly". The min. volume knob comes in handy for switching between lead and rhythm.

Comments about Morley Little Alligator Volume Pedal:

This is a great pedal. Might have to get use to it cause the distance from on to off is shorter, but no big deal. Just play with it a bit. The minimum volume con is a great addition. This is not a mini pedal, so don't let the Little part of the name fool you. Buy it.

MF customer service department is awesome... What else can be said.

Comments about Morley Little Alligator Volume Pedal:

I really like this pedal. Don't let the "Little" fool you though. It isn't a "Mini" but it is smaller than a full size volume pedal. Takes a few tries getting use to it, but you won't have a problem. I like the ability to pre-set the pedal to. 30+ yrs of playing and touring. 13 yrs with Toby Keith. Buy the pedal, you won't regret it.

Comments about Morley Little Alligator Volume Pedal:

A solidly build, clean sounding volume pedal. I now have two, one on my studio board and one on mobile rig. Love the silent, optical operation as well as the size of the pedal itself. I've owned volumes with the string/pot design but they always end up becomming scratchy over time. For clean swells and sensitive movements this is the one. The volume knob also allows the user to set a minimum volume when heeled down which workes great with setting a cleaner tone with hotter driven amps.

Comments about Morley Little Alligator Volume Pedal:

I bought this pedal in 2005 as an alternative to the Ernie Ball volume pedal which broke when my bass player accidentaly stepped on it the wrong way (the poor pedal was in pieces). So, I gave this one a try. I have not experienced the degradation of tone that others have and the pedal works great for volume swells in my experience. I am not sure how others hook theirs up but I run mine through the effects loop along with my digital delay, chorus and metal distortion. Everything works as I want. I don't use it as the last in line either ... my delay pedal is last in line. No signal loss, tonal degradation or over amplification. Works like a charm. Also, this thing is built like a freakin tank! It might actually survive a nuclear explosion. Not going to test that theory.
