Not bad, not great

Comments about Mini Morley Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have mostly used Crybaby's, as that is *the* wah tone for me. But I thought I'd give this a shot as I recently got a smaller pedalboard, and it is a smaller wah.But- it's not THAT much smaller, and the side part with the switch basically makes it the same footprint as a Crybaby, the shorter length went to an increased width. Anyway, the pedal itself is pretty small, though, and the heel back spot seems too high. The on/off switch is placed right to the pedal and can easily be triggered by accident since your feet will likely be spilling off the sides of the pedal. But the most important thing is how it sounds, and- it's okay. The sweep seems very top-heavy so that halfway through not much happens then from mid-way to toe-down the real "wah'ing" takes place. It's not very quacky, like my Crybaby, and with the toe fully depressed I don't get the obnoxiously high-pitched piercing tone I'm used to.It does sound smooth and musical, though. Not bad, but for the benefits of a smaller footprint the trade-off is too great.

Comments about Mini Morley Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

Time will tell if this will be a fantastic, never get rid of pedal but my main goal with this purchase was space saving. I have the smallest pedaltrain board available & I am able to have this wah & 4 other pedals on the board. I like to travel light & this pedal allows me to do that while still having the ability to use a wah (some covers just don't sound the same without them).
It is not true bypass, but with the "TrueTone Bypass buffer circuit", readers are bound to be mislead. I really hate deceptive advertising, even if I do like the product. Please Morley, sell the item based on it's merits!

Has a volume attenuator, but even turned all the way down the wah gives a slight boost when engaged. I couldn't imagine the need to turn it up any more. Wish I could attenuate the volume of the wah a little more to be able to balance the wah/non-wah sounds.
The steel case seems pretty sturdy. The switch & input/output jacks do not feel bargain basement quality. Sound quality is good, especially clean. With my distortion pedal i found that I had to have the distortion before the wah, otherwise certain frequencies would peak way too much. An added benefit of doing this is the ability to turn my foot slightly sideways & turn on/off the wah & the distortion simultaneously.
For the price, can't be beat.
