OVERVIEW

Give your guitar instant polyphonic up-tuning in 1/2-step increments—plus Full Octave Up-Pitch and Octaver.

The Morpheus Capo guitar effects pedal lets you electronically capo your guitar and maintain perfect pitch. For example, play an E chord in standard tuning, then use the Capo pedal to up tune your guitar so the chord is changed to an F, F#, G, G#, A, Bb or B. In addition, the Capo pedal has Full Octave Up-Pitch and a great-sounding Octaver/12-string emulator that causes your 6-string to sound like a 12-string.

The Morpheus Capo guitar pedal also features effect-toggling so you can instantly toggle back and forth between the up pitch and the Effect Off for a cool up-/down-pitch-shift effect during rapid ascending/descending arpeggios and scale runs. Don't mistake this for a mere pitch shift stompbox. The Morpheus Capo pedal uses proprietary polyphonic pitch-up algorithms that maintain perfect harmonic accuracy and tonally correct overtones—you have to hear this pedal to believe how real it sounds.

With a cast metal chassis, solid positive-feeling steel step switches, and non-skid rubber feet, the Capo guitar pedal is solidly built for years of use and abuse. Includes LED indicators that are bright and easy to see.

Unlike a capo, it never crimps the strings and does not sound like a toy guitar on the higher frets. Smoothly moves from one fret to the next. Easy to operate and best of all; If you're just starting to sing while playing, no need to mess with a capo or re-learn a song in your vocal range because all you have to do is tap the button until your range is found.

I purchased the Morpheus Capo Guitar Effects Pedal 1-31-11. I bought it mainly for practic. When I learn a song in a lower key. I can use the morpheus capo to play along with the CD in the original key. It works okay for my needs. However, if you are a stickler for true tone, you probably will not use this pedal for live shows. The tone is too mechanical. Maybe over time, morpheus will improve the tone. It's a good tool for practic.

Comments about Morpheus Capo Guitar Effects Pedal:

It performs like a capo, but changes the sound of the guitar to a muddled mess. I tried running it straight and with other pedals, but I could never clean it up to get my beautiful clean guitar sound.

Comments about Morpheus Capo Guitar Effects Pedal:

This stomp box is definately a bad buy. The 12 string effect doesn't really sound like 12 strings and the key shifts if used with anything except reverb on the pedal board, sounds really bad. Don't waste your time and money on this effects pedal.

Comments about Morpheus Capo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I wanted to use this to avoid having to capo and check tuning during solo performances. No luck. The chords from my Gibby 137 sounded a touch flat and very metalic. They also seemed late like there was a split sec of delay, and not the good kind. Sorry, but the technology just isn't there yet. I sent it back.

The pitch as you progress is great. The tone, however, isn't. When mixed with an overdrive or chorus, it just doesn't sound good. Need to eliminate the effects from the Morpheus pedal.
