An ultra-controllable wah.
Thanks to its weight and low-profile construction, the Silver Machine sits firmly where you want it and resists unwanted movement. The unique Automagic sensor activates the effect as soon as a foot is laid on the pedal, starting the effect quickly without pressing additional footswitches. The wide operational angle guarantees precise control over the effect, while the ultralow-noise circuit ensures practically noiseless switching. The filter itself also displays extremely low noise characteristics, making the Silver Machine ideal for studio use.
3 function selectors vary the filter circuitry directly and offer a host of sound variations, from hot funk to spacy psychedelia. The Earth selector switches between 3 different frequency ranges, while the Quake selector alters the bandwidth of the filter. Both can be used together to produce 12 different configurations. There are Modern and Classic modes as well to take your wah to new levels. Over 100 hours of use from one 9V battery.

Very strong - can take 200+ lbs full weight. Switching is excellent. Tone is excellent, but not quite as morph-able as some other wahs. Problem - if you use your wah A LOT, I mean A LOT, you will notice that the fader gets dirty and puts scratches in the tone. Cleaning the fader will only work for a time and it will eventually wear out sounding scratchy all of the time - mine wore out after about 1 1/2 years. The fader can't be easily replaced as it is permanently attached to the circuit board. A replaceable fader would (screws) would be a good improvement. Pretty expensive for a disposeable wah pedal, but I'll be getting another one - again, built tough, very good tone and very good switching.Consider buying the company's switching modification kit for a crybaby.
Very weak wah sound. Very poor documentation. Knobs and potentiometer have no apparent effect.
This thing is very well made. It's designed to withstand the brutality of the road. You have to be very familiar with wah pedals to really unlock the potential of this wah. I really like the fact that the wah turns off when you remove your foot... perfect for those of us who don't use it all the time. GuitarWorld magazine gave it high marks, and they don't bestow things like that lightly. I recommend going to a music store or something to try it out first, to see if it's for you.
