very cool pedal. a pedal like this can inspire new sounds/songs very easily. alot of knobs to figure out but once u do it's all good. the pedal itself is very rugged feeling!

Thus far I own a Qtron Plus, a Tube Zipper, and the MXR Auto Wah. I enjoy messing around with the Q-Tron, and with practice you can dial in the right sound, however the Q-Tron does not take batteries, and does not run off a standard 9 Volt connection. It's a wall wart. It also takes getting used to the controls. There are 4 major things I like with MXR's pedal.1. Its easy. There are a few controls, but none are hard to figure out, and even without reading the manual in less than a minute I had a great sound dialed in.2. The pedal runs off a standard 9V plugin or battery. This is one less wall wart to worry about.3. Size. Size is always key when trying to conserve pedal board space. This pedal like most of MXR's pedals I've bought, is small. MXR pedals are always smaller than i expect them to be.4. I really like the added shimmer affect you CAN get with the rate knob. You can turn this all the way down if you don't want this affect.I wouldn't say this pedal replaces my other Auto-Wah type pedals completely. But this is the one I'll probably use the most. One thing that I think would put this pedal over the top is to include a down/up switch for the filter sweep like the Q-tron has. Aside from that I'm completely happy with my purchase of it.

A Realy good auto-wah. Really quiet. Don't understand the "rate" dial. Can make kind of sound like a Mu-Tron, but not really. Great features and value for the money. REALLY, REALLY versatile sound and flexible controls. I run an EH Octave Multiplexor with it and I've got an awesome mid 70s Garcia tone. But again, not a mu-tron. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Very clear sounding, no annoying pops when the effect triggers.

I bought this pedal because I had a few extra bucks and wanted to try it out.Let me tell you this thing rocks.Wouldn't trade it for the world!
