OVERVIEW

(Open Box) 120W, handbuilt quality and classic tube-driven tone in a road-worthy 2x12".

Bugera's goal with the 120W 6260 2x12" tube guitar combo was the tone of a high-power, super-lead amp, with all the virile crunch it takes to detonate the center stage. With 6L6s this design has a very open and glassy tone; with EL34s, it takes on a more compressed and noticeably midrange character.

With the master up and using the Clean gain knob for volume, you get pristine, yet fat clean power. Turning the Clean gain up gradually causes the amp to react like a non-master volume amp, and achieves a very natural sounding overdrive ” what the comany calls œTexas Clean.

Turning the master and gain up together causes the amp to react like a non-master volume amp.

Turning Clean channel gain up achieves a very natural sounding overdrive. The amp will react sharply to changes in volume or attack from the instrument.

The Crunch setting is simply the clean channel with more gain from another 12AX7 to create the rock n roll rhythm sound heard on all your classic rock faves.

The Bright switch helps darker sounding instruments cut through and really shines when using a hollow or semi-hollow body guitar.

The Lead channel is all about articulate gain and sustain. Copious amounts of harmonics and compression help solos stand out and cut thru the band with ease.

Separate master volumes allow for easy rhythm-clean/solo-lead switching with total control over the level of each sound.

This is a truly fine amp.So easy to adjust and coax out tones. Reverb warm and usable. Power? You said it.I have a Peavey Valve King(which I adore) and this amp gives it a run for the money. I run them in tandem which generates some tasty sounds. The Bugera does have a gain control on the clean channel which allows you to get a "hot" clean sound(kinda neat). Included with the amp is a four function footswitch(made of metal). All in all I'm glad I picked up the "stupid deal of the day".I think we'll be hearing more about Bugera. Clean, powerfull, affordable alternative to more expensive brands.Did I say it sounds like a Marshall? It does!

I should have known , when a deal looks way too good it usually is. After I plugged it in and warmed the tubes up I flipped the standby switch as directed in manual. The amp has a bad electric Humm and then goes dead. I researched fixes and there are some for this amp , as it is known to have had issues with earlier versions. Of course of which I had to get. Good thing is Bugera is ore than happy to correct the issue. Only I did not have the time to wait for the fix. friends have this same amp and they are excellent amps when fixed. I would recommend this only if you have the time to get it corrected after you purchase it. I did not have that option. I may try and purchase another at a later date and bite the bullet on time for repairs to be make. If you want power this amp supplies more than you'd ever need under normal inside venues. Outside mic'd back into a PA or added to a stack it would work well

Comments about Bugera 6260 120W 2x12 2-Channel Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Reverb:

I saw the warnings and complaints online after I bought it but before it was delivered. I also read some good reviews, so I figured I had a 50-50 chance of getting a good one. This one blew within 10 minutes. It's a nice amp and Bugera should offer repair tips. I STILL haven't heard back from them.

Comments about Bugera 6260 120W 2x12 2-Channel Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Reverb:

This thing fried the first time I fired it up. Sounded great on clean channel. Good and loud on "1". Lots of punch. When I kicked the lead channel it started to make strange crackly sounds at random. I wondered if it was a loose connection because my input jack nut was a little loose. I turned it off to go tighten it. When I turned it on again, it crackled again really loud and the lights went out. Done. I thought it may be the fuse. I tried to find a replacement, but not even Radio Shack had one to match. It is a dinky, weird ceramic one, so I couldn't see if it was fried like a glass fuse. Finally gave up and sent it back because even if I did replace the fuse, its future reliability, particularly while gigging, would be questionable. It is very heavy, so it would make a good anchor!

Sounded great for 20 minutes. Blew a fuse and I couldn't find replacements in several stores. Musicians Friend was terrific, though. They arranged for return immediately. I would not buy another Bugera as a result of this amplifier.

I will be rethinking buying anything from musician's friend.

The overall sound of the Bugera amps is good. I am not sure how long they will hold up.The cabinet box on these are a little weak. They are heavy but not built extremely solid. The supports in the amp became loose in shipping. A lot of this was due to the way it was re boxed.I live in the same state as the warehouse. It should have arrived in better shape.

Comments about Bugera 6260 120W 2x12 2-Channel Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Reverb:

This amp has so far done everything it advertises. I have had no problems with anything not working correctly at this point. I have had the amp about 5 weeks. I went back and forth between 5 and 4 stars, if given the choice it would get 4.5 stars. If you have questions about this amp, on You Tube there is a good review from Guitar Magazine which at least gives you a good idea of the sounds you can get from this amp. I am an amateur bedroom player, so the only thing about this amp is that it is LOUD. But I guess if you buy a 120 watt 4X 6L6 power tube amp you should expect that. I seldom get above 1 on the master volume of either channel. The sounds of the amp can vary quite a bit and you can get a decent clean and awesome crunch and as much lead gain as you can possibly stand. It does get a bit fizzy pretty quickly as you turn up the preamp gain, and that is the only real negative and the reason it doesn't get 5 stars, but for value you can't beat the price vs performance. I have some replacement preamp tubes on the way to hopefully clean up the sound a bit and define notes better, but if they don't work I will still be happy with amp as is, especially as I said the value is there. I use this amp with both a Mexican Strat and an ESP mid price Humbucker model and both sound good.

Comments about Bugera 6260 120W 2x12 2-Channel Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Reverb:

I was so excited to receive this cool tube amp! Huge sound, great tone and a really nice foot switch pedal! After about one hour of play, the fuse blew. It has a ceramic fuse so it took me awhile to determine that the fuse had blown. Got a bunch of fuses and, each time I flipped the switch to turn on stand-by...blown fuse. The lady at MF (super nice, as always) said it was probably bad power tubes. Why would they ship it with bad tubes if it results in returned items, I wonder??? Had to return this heavy amp via UPS and pay to box it up because the original box was pretty torn up and, I threw it away before the problem occurred...dang! MF paid for the shipping thank goodness. Now they tell me the item is discontinued so I had to replace it with a Bugera 333 which I have yet to receive. Keeping my fingers crossed about the 333!!

I ordered this Amp when it was the stupid deal of the day. When it arrived I plugged it in and made sure everything was hooked up properly and all knobs were dialed full left. flipped the power switch on and let it warm up. as soon as I flipped the standby switch I was greeted with an odd buzzing sound. I began to turn up the master knob and before I got past the first notch it died. I popped out the fuse and it was blown.
I never even got to hear it.

I can only say that it took a bit of time to get one that worked, but it was well worth the wait! I am a Marshall user since forever, yet I like this Bugera better than anything I've used in the past!

ok, here is my experience, bought this because nothing for this amount of money is a full tube combo. the first one came doa, sent it back, no problem because musicians friend is great. the next one came and it rocks, vary responsive to pick attack on the clean setting, using my 335 with coil taping you dont need to touch the pedal, you can set the volumes and go from clean to lead on the guitar. ive been doing this for years, but this amp does it REALLY well. overall, great amp if you get one that works.

Ordered in May 2015; used for a few gigs and originally pretty satisfied. Put it on stage for a Saturday night gig and the fuse blew....the one night I didn't bring a backup! Replaced fuse and it blew again within 10 minutes. Have to send it back to Jacksonville FLA for warranty repair and pay shipping costs. Mentioned to techs that there is a high level of hum in the speakers when turned to average volume. Wouldn't have expected this amp to hum that much and go bad that fast. Will post after getting it back from servicing to see if it will hum less and not blow the fuse after 10 minutes.

Comments about Bugera 6260 120W 2x12 2-Channel Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Reverb:

I recently lost my 1987X Plexi to Pawn America and when it was time to get it back, they'd already sold it. So I took the money I would have paid to get it back and found several "out of the box" Bugera amps at MF. I did some research and heard nothing but positive about them so I ordered one. To say I'm very pleased with my purchase would be an understatement. This baby is a fire breather in every sense of the word. The non master volume 1987X is pretty much a one trick pony. And Marshall amps, like the Gibson Les Pauls are nowhere near as good as they used to be and both have become grossly over-priced. With an overdrive pedal you can turn the 6260 from a 2 channel amp into a 4 channel amp. I think it was a great price on what is proving to be a really great amp.

OK it is here now and let me assess this beast. It has a high and low gain input which is probably a pentode function. There is definitely a noticeable difference in power here. Clean channel features a bright button, crunch button, both of which are good to go. The crunch really adds grit to the already fine clean tone provided by the 4 6L6 tubes, which by the way can be subbed out for EL34's. Reverb is every bit as good and deep as any I have played on. Bass, Mid, and Treble functions are common to both Lead and Clean and have a good range. The Lead channel is beastly. Just on about 3 or so, and keep in mind that this and the clean channel both have master volumes, I get great ZZ Top harmonics . I have not really gone too far into the depths of the Lead aspect yet as I dont do thrash, metal, or any of that, There is also a presence knob ala Marshall. Oh and the four channel footswitch covers clean, lead, reverb, and FX loop. On the back of the amp is FX loop, Preamp out, Footswitch, 4,8,16 ohm selector, and power cord. Two very nice crisp 12" Bugera speakers... I give this amp a solid A+ and shall call it "Twin Killer".

aside from the above pro's,I put a independant cooling fan in immediatly.,& will use a padded handtruck for
transport. This baby is master to my marshall valvestate 12" 100 watt slave.I used a zip tie to keep the
pedal box input stable,as the prongs are easily bent,so I leave it dedicated & have match marked it.,in case I decide to unplug it.The cooing fan is a MUST,unless you want to bake a pizza on top.

this amp is awsome.a cheap independant fan is a must,or you will have problems quick.4 casters & a custom padded handtruck are essentiials. The effects pedal jack is easy to bend the prongs,so i fixed it in place w/a zip tie. This amp beats the fender super champ tuber from the early 80's that satriani recorded on!!

I bought the amp to handle loop phrases dropped to it from outside my stereo rig (Mesa & StudioMaster). It's actually the second loop handler, the other being a ToneWorks 2-12 hybrid. I had hoped to get a smoother tube sound like the Mesa in clean mode in order to blend with the ToneWorks ungodly slam dunk British blast.

I'm not sure what I expected for the price, which is phenomenal, but while being an all tube (12ax7 x gc6L6) and a STRONG amp, it lacks in the "tube tone" department. My main guitars, a Gibson L6 & a Music Man Steve Morse model, sound harsh through the amp regardless of pickup choice or EQ setting on the amp.

The clean channel isn't "chimey" but it's very clear, which is now what I'll be using this amp for, and as I work with pedals anyway, I can rough it up a bit before dropping the loop phrase on it. The "crunch" channel is pretty nasty and I can't seem to get a good OD tone from it even though I've tried it through several different settings.

To be honest, I bought this amp thinking "if nothing else, I will get two 12" speakers and a full set of replacement tubes for my other amps, however, it is a good amp when kept clean (gets LOUD clean without breaking up - if you're looking for that sort of thing - almost Britishy brassy).

A good amp for the price but it probably wouldn't be your primary as it lacks the "tube tone" that guitar players look for, which is confusing to me because it IS an all tube amp and I don't understand why the circuitry couldn't have been tweaked a bit to give it a "tube crunch" and a set of balls.

Wide range of sound can be coaxed out of this thing - everything from clean and mellow to creamy to howling loud high gain distortion. Seems to be built like tank, but I can't say whether or not it would hold up on the road, but so far, it's fine at home after a few trips up and down the stairs.
