Ups dropped it off yesterday, and it is everything I hoped, but better. The metal and insane channels are perfect. The clean is gorgeous, for a sort of metal clean tone. If you want to play a lot of Zeppelin or Pink Floyd, you might be better off with a Vypyr. but if you want Mettallica and Crue, to A7X, back to AC/DC and Aerosmith, youll love it. The metal channel is heavy as hell, and can still get up and throw piercing highs and mids. Everything is tight and punchy as hell. The biggest thing that shocked me was the clarity at seemingly stupid volumes for such a small amp. MF was out of stock when I ordered it, and I still had it in 7 days with free shipping. I highly recommend this amp to all metalheads. Thanks Musicians Friend and Line 6. RNFR

For the money, you can't beat it
This is my first digital amp, having had tubes for the last 40 years, and I really like it. Sometimes it is nice to be able to switch to many different sounds at will, no changing pedals, no great adjustments. I can go from acoutic to electric guitars with ease. Good stuff!!
Solid piece of equipment
Very good value

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Being a beginner again ( I had started playing 40 yrs. ago and failed to stay with it ), this amp makes playing fun while learning. After practicing chords or trying to learn to read music again, I can just mess around and not sound so bad with the effects. Without them I think I'd still scare people. I'm 58 yrs. old and having alot of fun with and the crybaby wah I also purchased from you. Thank-you, Eddie Cardwell.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

For the price, this is a very average amp. I believe there is far better to be had in this price range. I would only recommend it for an ABSOLUTE beginner who really won't be able to tell the difference in tone, and most importantly, has the money to replace it within a few months, which is the time it took me to outgrow this amp. The tone is perfectly usable for heavy metal, and there are a few singing lead tones to be had. However, the crunch and insane models are both horrible, and the tape echo is the only effect that doesn't sound annoyingly digital. My advice would be for anyone on a budget with a variety of taste in music to save up a little more and go for either a Peavey or a Fender Mustang.

When I got this, it was fresh out of the box, the distortion channels sound really great for 15 watts. Although it's not loud enough for live gigs, it's loud enough to really anoy parents and neighbors. So Turn it up and rock out!

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Very satisfied with this guitar amp. It has a lot of great effects, like flanger, reverb, tremolo, and tape echoes (to name a few). It's very fun to mess around with settings to create great spacey sounds and heavy, sludgy tones. It's also very easy to use.

The amplifier also has very useful features, like a built-in tuner and a "save" feature, where the amp can save and remember four different settings at the push (and hold) of a button.

It has great tone, volume, and variety, and it picks up things like pinch harmonics extremely well on the Metal and Insane tones. It's also pretty light to carry. I'd definitely recommend this amp for someone just starting out and for someone who's rather experienced with guitar playing. Great price for an amazing amplifier.

It took no time at all to figure out how to do everything on this amp. Its simple and easy, for being only 15 watts it has an enormous sound and a very clean sound. There is nothing I would change about this amp, and it comes at a great price.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

For the price I havent seen another amp that can beat this. 4 destinctly labeled presets, and many user friendly features. Sound isn't the best, and the quality could be better, but like I said this amp is un beatable for the price. I've owned it for about 4 years now, and havent experienced a problem with it yet. It is deffinatly a practice amp though, I wouldn't advise even playing small shows with this. It's not a hard task to push the amp to its limits, and at about 3/4 volume the sound quality will go bad. Other than that it is a great amp for the price.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

At $99 I guess it is not surprising that this amp is not built to last, but the big surprise is that the sounds are horrendous, all of them.I was recently introduced to this travesty of an amp by a friend who bought one to use as a knockaround amp for small gigs and bedroom practice/ Considering the 15 watts advertised rating I guess it seemed like a good deal.So he brought it over for a rehearsal. For the life of us we couldn't get a decent tone out of this thing, neither clean nor distorted. The channels don't take well to distortion pedals and other effects since it has built in amp simulation so none of our efforts produced anything half usable. If there is a way to bypass the preamp section and connect via fx return or something - I'd prefer that since the tonality of this thing is pure garbage. The knobs seem loose like after a few moves they'd fall apart and honestly, I wouldn't even consider recommending one of these amps to an enemy. For a few bucks more you cna get a Valvetronix, so I'd suggest look at that amp line for something half decent.

Pretty good, a good buy for the price. If you're looking for something with superb sound this isn't the amp, but if you're looking just play and not dish out a lot of money than this is the amp for you.
Pretty nice features. Has four settings, clean, crunch, metal, and insane. The amp has lots different effects to toy around with to find what you like. Although the sound isn't perfect, it's still nice for beginners.
For the price, the quality is great. Overall, the quality is ok.
I wasn't dissapointed for the money I spent, to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. It's the kind of amp you keep in the attic and pass on to your kids if they ever want to learn guitar.

This amp is a great little tool. The only issue I have is that it is not clear how to get rid of effects. (I tried following the instructions in the "quick start guide" but they did not help). A more detailed user guide would be helpful. The online guide was the same as came in the box. Other wise the effects are easy to access and adjust. Nice feature being able to save set-ups although I haven't tried it yet. Again, a more detailed manual would be very helpful.

If you're looking for a starter amp to get you going you're going to love this one! The price is outstanding, and the range of built in features is amazing. The amp is easy to set up and easy to use.

The only con for me (which really isn't the amp's fault) is the lack of a foot pedal. It is available for extra though, just would be nice to have that to switch channels easily.
Just be aware you might want the foot pedal, so budget accordingly.

No problems with the amp so far. It travels nice, not to big. And it looks great.
                Buy this Amp!

If you want to record professionally then you would use something else anyway, but if you want something that performs live and at home then this is what you need. Its small, but has four settings. Clean offers everything from straight acoustic to soft rock. Crunch goes all the way to hard rock. Metal explains itself, and Insane is just a boosted version of metal with a different distortion. The on board effects work well, but if you like your sound unchanged after the amp you won't use them. This thing gets load and is more than comparable to other 15-20W Modeling Amps. Diverse, simple, loud, quiet. MP3 and line out jacks are amazing additions.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I recently got this amp for [$] as a quick replacement to another amp that quit working and I can't be more pleased in what I got. This amp can deliver great sounds for such a little amp. All of the effects and the controls give you great room to play around without having to invest in several pedals. This was a great buy but I would highly recommend starting at the Spider IV 75 if you want to fully enjoy all of the bells and whistles of a Spider IV series amp. If money is an issue I would fully recommend the 15 or 30 to anyone. Just make sure you read the manuals before using these amps because there are lots of little hidden features that are not so obvious to the eye.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Overall, the amp is great. I was pondering getting this or the Fender frontman (who's wattage I can't remember but I know was higher than 15) and this wins hands down.
I like the effects that come with it, but you have to be very precise with the flanger to get a good spacey sound. Once you play around with the EQ, you can make the metal setting sound really good, even on par with a high-watt expensive amp.
My one and only complaint is that the master volume knob is suuuper sensitive. Silent is 7 o'clock, and deafening is about 9:30. Maybe it's just mine, but I know if my cable hits it even a little, it can make the floor shake (literally)
I think, for the money, it is a great deal. I'm only a teenager, and I can't find a job, so money is really tight for me. I needed a small practice amp while I built up my chops, and this did the job. I reccomend this to anyone really, because everyone likes to have a very light, yet very powerful, practice amp.

i went into my local music store to buy a small practice amp to also use for recording. i went in with the mindset of buying another marshall since they have been my amp of choice for the last 20+ years. the salesman showed me the line 6 IV 15 and i bought it thinking that i would bring it back and get the marshall. after trying it out i couldn't beleive how versatile it is. i dialed up the settings that came with the amp and instantly had a mesa dual rectifier, an old marshall plexi, and a fender bassman tone. wow! that and like a couple other people have already mentioned that for 15w this thing is pretty loud. i also like the clean sounds i was getting with it. whatever guitar i pluged into the thing it sounded great. my main guitar is a les paul studio deluxe and i couldn't wait to start recording with it. when i did i was really happy with how quite it was. no hissing or feedback problems at all. even though i don't play out anymore and if i did i would still use my marshall but for recording and just jamming at the house this amp cannot be beat.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I got this amp a couple years ago for my birthday...I was a video game fanatic so I wanted something cheap so I could use the rest of the money on video games haha. Anyways...I was honestly impressed. It has more features than most amps I've ever played. It sounds pretty fuzzy but thats expected from a $100 amp. The difference in volume when changing channels is insane so watch out and try not to destroy your ears. You might honestly blow up the amp if you want to turn the volume past 6 which is insanely loud for a practice amp. For the same price I would recommend the Peavey Vyper, but thats just an opinion. This is definately a close second.

If you are a musician and want an amp that can give you a versatile number of effects without having the need to buy pedals, then get this amp. I personally prefer an basic amp because I have effect pedals - as it takes a lot more tweaking to get the sound that you like if you are using effect pedals WITH your amp settings (just my $0.02). Overall though, this is a rigid, good-quality, and versatile amp that you can use even in recordings.
sound is amazing using clean channel (not really clean but has chorus/flanger and reverb) and insane channel.
doesn't look like it'll break anytime soon.
price wise and what it can offer, not a bad deal.
