I have always wanted an orange amp but never wanted to pay what it costs to get it. But now they have really done a great job with capturing the true tone of their tube amps with the new crush amps. I played on the 35rt and the pro 60 and they are both amazing. Even the little crush 12 had the right tone. There is an awesome video on YouTube that compares a crush 120 to the rockerverb and it is almost identical in tone. I went with the 35rt because it's the perfect size for me. And it also has the awesome cab sim headphone jack for nighttime apartment jamming. I play all kinds of music and the orange can make any sound you want from super clean to hardcore. I have always wanted a peavey 6505 combo as well but playing it side by side made me realize I just love the orange tone and that's great cuz I saved a lot of money. The crush series amps are the best sounding solid state amps I have ever played. If you want tone and reliability for a good price this is your amp.

I own a Pathfinder 15 R with tremolo feature. 10" Bull Dog speaker that is stock, and have to say the 35RT does not come close to tone, or usability as compared to the Pathfinder, and frankly the Pathfinder seems to be just a better made amp than the 35RT.

The volume seems to vary a bit too. Doesn't matter if it is the clean or dirty channel. One time you play and it seems nice and full and you come back, pick up your guitar and it most definitely sounds different which could be a lower vol. or like someone has rolled off you tone controls a bit. Hard to quantify but I find that I am messing with either the equalizer more than I should after getting a sound I am after or the vol. control(s).

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Crush35RT 35W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp so far has been great. It was an upgrade for me from a Line 6 15 watt Spider amp, and man does it sound a whole lot better. It can also get very loud if you are testing the volume. I love the new smell that it has, noticed it right when I took it out of the box. The clean setting (which is what I was most looking forward to with this amp) is phenomenal, already used it once at a performance and it sounded as crisp and clear as you could ask for out of any other amp in this price range. The dirty setting is also outstanding to use, it has multiple levels ranging from a light crunch to a fairly heavy distortion. Some may complain that the distortion doesn't get heavy enough (like people who play death metal) but it is good enough for me and what I do, so I'm very pleased with the dirty setting function. The tuner has also worked great so far. The amp is very simple and easy to use, had no problem plugging and playing after unboxing. My only slight issue with the amp is that when I had the volume down pretty low, I noticed that the volume dropped without me actually changing anything on the amp, and then it went back up to normal. This could just be something faulty with my cheap cords or something, but it's no big issue. Overall this amp has been amazing for me and has done everything and more than I could ask for, was much worth the investment, can't wait to see how it keeps on serving me in the future.

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Crush35RT 35W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I needed a small, portable amp for small venues. The 35RT looked good so I took a shot. I got it, plugged in and noticed that the gain on the dirty channel couldn't be set above 12 o'clock (no numbers on the dials). It was just too noisy. Didn't matter what pickups I used, the gain was just too intrusive. Get past 12 o'clock and those settings are unusable in my opinion. Sent it back and I'm still waiting for my replacement order, the Peavey Envoy 110. There was a snafu with the rep on the phone on the return label also, so I had to call back and get that straightened out too. Not too happy with MF right now. Going to try other options in the future. I'll review the Peavey when I get it.

Bought this amp in may of 2015. It died in January 2016 with very little use. The lights come on and no sound comes out. Orange told me to replace the fuses. Did that and still didn't work. They want me to ship it to them to be fixed under warranty but I don't want to drop a hundred dollas in round trip shipping both ways to fix A cheap amp. What a waste of money. My old peavey bandit never left me hanging for 10 years. Will never buy an orange product again.

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Crush35RT 35W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

Was looking for a good portable amp that was solid state yet nice enough to jam with at various juke-joints and blues restaurants/bars in and around town. I stumbled across the Orange Crush 35RT and gave it try. Arrived yesterday by UPS and jammed with it in public that very same night. Sound was clear and cut through the mix more than many other amps SS or tubes. The 10" speaker might have something to do with it cutting through. All the 5-6 jammers that used the amp, remarked on how good it was. At times the band of jammers played very loud, like you had to almost yell to the person next to you and this amp kept up with the volume extremely well. At 35W, it's true RMS so it compares with the output of my Peavey Classic 30W tube amp. SS amps have come a very long way and this one is a good example of that. Will it replace a Fender amp costing up to 10x as much? No, but it's not designed to either. I must confess that I'm a tone snob tube amp kinda guy but this amp has me rethinking my rig. Maybe I'll get another and run them in stereo. One more, this amp is built like a Sherman tank and is nice & light and compact. Win/win!

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Crush35RT 35W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a really good amp. I did not want a modeling amp and this fit the bill. The line/headphone out is much better than I expected. The line out is nice and clear, with the EQ and 4 stage gain you can get a nice variety of sounds. As for the speaker, it is okay. Do not expect a really bright sound as is is a bit dark and a little bass heavy to my ear but I am not used to closed back cabinets. I can get a pretty decent sound from the speaker with the EQ though. I would recommend this amp as long as you are not expecting it sound like an Orange amp and not some other brand.

I did a lot of research on this one and It is exactly what I expected. For a practice amp. and even a small venue you can`t beat this for the price.

Sounds really warm and tube like for a practice amp, both clean and distortion sound good through the cab speaker. My beef is how the headphone cab sim was supposed to sound really good and it sounds like a transistor radio at best. Not one bit better than my MG right beside it, so don't buy it for that like I did you will be sorry.
