Great amp. just recieved mine yesterday, and i'm really impressed by the clarity i get in both channels, especially the clean channnel.some say that Orange in general is terrible for the money. if you're comparing Orange to your average amps, like Crate, Bugera, Jet City, etc., of course they're gonna look like a terrible value. But Orange has never belonged to that group, nor will they ever will be. they belong in the upper echelon of guitar amps, the ones you see on world tours--and compared to other amps in that class (Bogner, Matchless, Splawn), you'll never find a better amp for the money.so, if you're a hobbyist who isn't picky, then maybe Orange isn't for you. but if you're a touring pro, chances are you can't go wrong with this amp.
The Orange Rocker 30 is a really great amp, but I sold mine after nearly two years of owning it. I went to my local store and tried out a Bugera V22 and found out that I could get almost exactly the same tone with the Bugera. The Orange is great to have if you have the money, but just isn't worth the price considering the features you get.
I've had this amp for almost two years, and this thing screams. The clean channel is warm and can get a nice chunky sound with humbuckers great for jazz and blues, and when you crank it, it growls as well as any distortion channel. The dirty channel picks up from there and can go from a crunchy, gritty distortion to all out mush. This is one of the most versatile amps out there and really thrives in the middle area of the spectrum. It is also a very solidly built amp and though it doesn't have reverb, as the other review said, with a little delay you dont even notice it. This is a fantastic, no frills amp that produces one thing - fantastic tone. I cannot recommend this amp highly enough. If you have the money, get it.
I've had my Rocker 30 for over a 2 years now and I can't even describe how amazing this amp is. It's the All-tube class A tone! The clean is so clean and the dirty can get so dirty. This is a very versatile amp. It gets extremely loud for 30 watts. I never go above 6 playing with a whole band. The celestion vintage 30 sounds so amazing. It's easy to transport although it's pretty heavy, but that's why it sounds so good...solid construction. My only minor complaint (why I gave it 4.5 for features) is that it doesn't have reverb, but since I use delay, it doesn't need it. However I have tried the Holy Grail with it and it sounded fantastic. It sounds so freakin' amazing! Yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, you won't be disappointed.
