OVERVIEW

Hit the gas with the Rockerverb100—a 100-watt twin channel head with FX loop and reverb.

Hit the gas with the Rockerverb100---------a 100-watt twin channel head with FX loop and reverb.

The Rockerverb 100W head from Orange Amps is an all-valve, 100 watt, channel switching head with valve FX and valve-driven reverb. This amplifier has the same pre-amp channels, pre-amp and FX loops as the Rockerverb 50 but has the original Orange 100-watt output stage.

Two additions to this output stage are the output valve fusing system and a special bias switch which enables you to use quartets of output valves of different types (6CA7 / EL34 / 6L6 / 5881 / KT88). A quartet of 6CA7 / EL34 come standard in this head, along with the unique 'Reverse Snake 8' output transformer design.

The Rockerverb 100 is one of the best sounding in its class. Order now and hear for yourself.

Amazing Tone

By El Hefe-LY3ta

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Rockerverb 100 RK100HTC 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I must say that buying this was one of the best decisions I've ever made for buying music gear. People say these are 'dark' or only for 'heavy music', but with the 2 channels you can get anything out of this from smooth jazzy clean tones (and at 100w you have plenty of headroom for cleans!) to raw heavy rocking tone. Depending on your guitar you can get lots of great tones for all your musical needs. I've used it with a Rickenbacker and gotten jangly-jangles from it, with an Gibson SG for heavy dirty humbucking punk, and with Fender Mustang for chimey cleans and biting bell-like overdriven tones. It loves pedals, and the built in reverb will give you as much as you choose to tolerate. This is a LOUD amp, not made for bedroom practicing; but you will STILL get great tone at low levels. From bars to small clubs to arenas, you will have all the power you will ever need. And in that Orange tolexed package, it draws people to it afterwards to comment on your style and tone. This is the last amp you need. Ever.

Holy Orange

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Rockerverb 100 RK100HTC 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

It's a beast. All valve (tube) perfection, and it's so loud you could give your parents a heart attack. I turn it up to 3 and my ears are already taking damage. The clean channel is great, very warm. The distortion is sick, you can have it pretty light or even crank it up to get a classic rock sound, or crank it up to 8-9-10 to get an american heavy metal sound. I use an LTD and an ESP with it, and this amp makes everything better, especially with an orange cab to match. The only thing I've heard people complain about this is the reverb. The reverb can get really out of control high, but you don't need to turn it that high. Maybe turn it to 1-2-3. My problem is that the one I bought didn't come with a footswitch for the 2 channels, and it didn't come with a footswitch for the reverb. I have to pick those up separately.

HUGE

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Rockerverb 100 RK100HTC 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Please disregard any reviewer that calls this amp "solid state". It is in no way, shape, or form anywhere close to this. The Rockerverb 100 is an ALL TUBE amplifier!!!! So yes, tubes = more maintenance, but so far after owning this for 2 years, I have yet to replace any tubes. I use the effects loop extensively with multiple units on my pedalboard and it's always a clean powerful signal. I don't like how this amp accepts distortion pedals, but I rarely bother with that because the amp distortion sounds HUGE! I'm into a lot of styles of music, from alt-rock like Muse and Weezer to reggae like Sublime and Marley to Funk like the Chilis and James Brown. I also enjoy indie rock and blues and this amp handles them all. I can dial back the gain for instant Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page uses Oranges!) or keep it cranked for Weezer Blue album saturation. Either way, great tones. I hate the reverb however. It is totally unusable and just swamps any tone out of the signal. I stick with pedals for reverb. Fender still makes the best. The clean tone is very bold and warm, I love that a "hi-gain" amp can have a very quality clean tone. It's ironic because lately I've been playing a ton of funk/reggae originals and barely touch the Distortion channel, so I'm always playing in the clean channel and it is fantastic. Very, very warm and articulate tone. The Distortion is just BALLS! I can't get enough of how bassy and huge this amp is. Individual notes still remain focused with high gain and it almost creates a sweet, rubbery tone. Controls are a simple setup, the way a great amp should be. Nothing you don't need, all the essentials. British build and quality is pretty impeccable. If you want a versatile amp with a big sound, this is your ticket.
