Okay, I'm the kind of guy who plugs my strat (I have two - one all single coils and one with a bridge position humbucker) straight into my amp, and I use my volume control to control both volume and distortion. Over the years, I've owned a ton of tube amps, Fenders, Marshalls, Mesas, Voxes, and a few boutique amps as well, and this little Tiny Terror combo outperforms them all. For a master volume amp (I'm not usually a big fan), the distortion this produces is thick, bright (but not harsh), full of sustain, and yet still retains the clarity of the individual notes. Open chords are chimey and distinct, power chords are full and fat, and single notes sustain like Carlos Santana. And when you roll down the volume on the guitar, you can get a wonderful crunch tone all the way down to a clean on the verge of breakup sound that is heavenly. Pure clean tones are available, but they won't keep up with a loud drummer. All the other tones available will keep up with a loud drummer (trust me - my drummer hits hard). As I stated before, changing the tubes is very difficult. For that reason alone, if I had to do it over again I would definitely consider a head/cabinet arrangement. Plus, this is one heavy little combo (the 18-ply cabinet contributes to that) for it's size. Nonetheless, it has the room-filling capability of an open-back amp, but still has lots of low end chunk (not quite as much as a Marshall half stack, but pretty close, and way better than any Fender I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of those). Overall, an exceptional little combo for anyone who appreciates great tube amp distortion. Highly recommended.
I only give it an 8 because changing the tubes is one of the most difficult things I have ever done to any amp. You have to remove a ton of screws (a few of which are not at all easily accessible) to take off the cage and access the tubes. Other than that, this amp has everything you need, unless you need internal reverb or an effects loop.
Top-notch construction and speaker, even if it is built in China.
There are cheaper alternatives that are very good; this amp just has the sound I like.

While Orange has a great reputation and the Tiny Terror combo looks killer, the tone of the amp is anything but. While I was aware that this could be a "one-tick pony," I was fine with that. Good tube amp distortion is all may rock players need. However, "good" tube amp distortion was not to be found, whether it was with a single coil or humbucker equipped guitar. The amp had a very sterile, shrill, hurt-your-ears tonal quality in any setting. Warmth and string definition were no where to be found,at least not in the particular amp I purchased. After a year of doing all I could to wrangle a good tone from the Tiny Terror, I have finally given up and traded it in.

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Tiny Terror TT15C-12 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
This amp is incredible. I had doubts about it not having enough clean headroom before purchasing it, but it's got beautiful bell-like clean tones. For anyone wondering about gigging capabilities, it's overdriven tones are loud enough to gig with at clubs and medium size venues, but the clean tones only get to a certain volume before they start to break up. Regardless, this amp's functionality is fantastic. You may think that only one tone knob is not enough, but the range of sounds that can be extracted from this fantastic piece of equipment are vast. All in all, this amp's simplicity and simply incredible tone makes it worth buying.

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Tiny Terror TT15C-12 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I was the proud owner a Peavey 6505+, but I needed something more compact and old school for the band I'm currently in. I had also been looking at small "class A" amps for a while before deciding on this one. I had a chance to try it out at half volume the other day, and it fits the bill perfectly. With the gain just above mid level, I can use a volume pedal in place of a foot switch for clean/lead. The sound is good, but I'll be picky here and say it's a bit bassy at low volumes, and the top end breakup is a little scratchy, but that can probably be fixed with a retube and some gold pin preamps. I'm not so sure about the 7 watt mode yet, it seems like a lot of powerful chime is lost when it is used in that mode. Other than that, I'm very happy with it and can't wait to try it at a gig.

What more can I say? I've owned this combo for almost two years, and it outperforms the Fender, Vox, Roland and Peavey combos that I've owned. I love this amp, absolutely LOVE IT! I can't imagine anyone who wants a simple, reliable amp with great sound, either clean or overdriven. The overdrive is absolutely outstanding!
This is a bare-bones amp, single channel, no reverb, no effects loop, but don't let that fool you, THIS AMP ROCKS! Its simplicity is its charm.
Every component of this combo is top-notch. The fusion of the stellar Tiny Terror pure class A tube amplifier, to the best Celestron 12" speaker made, inside a robust, thick-walled cabinet, creates a screaming tank of an amp combo.
Although this little amp is expensive, it is worth the money in my opinion. Think about it. The Tiny Terror amp, including its metal case, is attached within the thick wooden cabinet. Every component is solid and robust. For me, the perfect compliment to my Strat or Tele.
Comments about Orange Amplifiers Tiny Terror TT15C-12 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I bought this amp a few days ago after drooling over it for months, and it's everything I've wanted in a tube amp! I'm definitely going to buy a travel case for it very soon because I want to keep this thing in perfect condition for as long as I have it!
I gave this amp a 9/10 on features because it doesn't have a effects loop, but that's not a big deal for me, I don't use many effects anyways. I love the simplicity of this amp though. only 3 control knobs with 7/15 watt selections. Volume, tone, and gain are all you really need in an amp!
The construction is incredibly solid! The amp gets smooth cleans with no buzz at all, and when you pump up the gain a little bit and dial in that perfect tone-- breathtaking!
The selection between 7 and 15 watts on this amp is awesome. I compose and record my own songs in my apartment, so it's perfect that I can choose the 7 watt setting, crank it up, get a great tone going, and record without getting on my neighbors nerves! Also the 15 watt setting is perfect for getting awesome tone while gigging even with drummers!
It's a bit pricy, but you really do get what you pay for with this amp! It's a fantastic piece of craftsmanship and sounds great!

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Tiny Terror TT15C-12 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I love this amp. I rated a 4.0 on features only for the fact that there is no reverb, I tend to be conservative on ratings numbers. I will give overall quality 4.5 Pretty darn good. as far as value . Well what would you say if you found an amp that can cut through a mix and can easily dial in the tone you are looking for. these are the great things about this amp. Perfect for clubs. No pedals needed just plug in and off you go into tone heaven. The price is a little up there but with this amp you do get what you pay for!Great tones are in this combo if you play a les Paul or any fender through it.Very sensitive to a players dynamics. so if you like an amp that can sound great with the guitar volume cut back and scream out at you and your audience at will. You will love it as i do.High marks here. Well worth the price.

Comments about Orange Amplifiers Tiny Terror TT15C-12 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
My subjective opinion after 6 weeks of use. The guitar and amplifier volume and tone pots, and the amp's gain control are all highly interactive. The amp's gain control, in particular, effects total perceived volume. The 7 watt setting delivers beautiful tone, even when used at insect volume level in the bedroom. The 15 watt vs the 7 watt setting definately delivers a much broader, and fuller tone when playing with others at a jam session. All of my Boss pedals sound very average into the Tiny Terror. The Marshall GV-2 Guvnor' sounds excellent. The Line 6 DL-4 also sounds good into the front of the amp without an effects loop, at lower volume. I can't comment on time-based effects at a higher volume. My stock 93' USA standard strat sounds beautiful with every setting. My 83' MIJ standard strat with Seymour Duncan noiseless vintage pickups sounds average at best, but defeats 60 cycle hum.If you need a smaller amp solution, the Orange Tiny Terror certainly deserves consideration. Thanks to MF for letting me post my opinion.
Comments about Orange Amplifiers Tiny Terror TT15C-12 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
Thought I needed a Marshall to get the tones I wanted from my Les Paul double cutaway, but after playing for several hours through Marshall tube amps (and other comparable price/wattage amps) I decided the Orange Tiny Terror was the best fit, and so comact too. My Duesenberg Double Cat sounds amazing through this, as does my Strat and Les Paul--so, I don't think any guitar would sound bad through this. Half of my guitars sound great through my Vox AC15CC1 (hot-rodded with new tubes and Celestion speaker), but all of my guitars sound awesome through the Orange. Simple amp. My Vox has marks all over the top 'cause there's so many options for drive, tone, reverb, etc, but one quick glance at the three knobs on the Orange and I'm good to play. Have played dozens of shows with the Vox, and the last two shows with the Orange got more complements on my tone than ever. You can get that dirty Cream guitar sound out of it, loud rock, even jazz. And the ability to pop the wattage in half down to 7 is great for recording. Highly recommend this amp for just about any style.
