Comments about Peavey 6505+ 120W Tube Guitar Amp Head and 300W 4x12 Speaker Cab Half Stack:
Great amp for a wide variety of tones for metal.
I got this amp about 2 years ago and I love it. Its very durable and has some crazy distortion to it. The only problem i have found is its got a little bit of feedback which is easily cut out with a noise suppresor, but without one it doesnt cut into the sound when you play at all. This amp is VERY loud giving you lots of head room, and unlike some of Peaveys other amps this amp actually is quite versatile with a wide range of distortion tones to more crunchy tones to high lows, mids, or highs, and you can also find some pretty good sounding cleans in there too. Mixed with pedals you can find your dream sound with this amp, or it standing alone will give you the sound you need for any heavy song. Upon getting this amp i wouldn't keep the factory tubes for too long, although it sounds great from the beginning, when it's gets retubed this thing really roars. Worth every dollar.
Built to last, and sounds great.
Pretty expensive but it'll be much more expensive anywhere else
