Comments about Peavey Sanpera I Guitar Footswitch:

I have both the 120W tube head and a 30W combo, and the pedal is only really good for switching between the presets on a selected channel and as a volume/wah pedal. I think the Wah sounds great almost identical to a gcb95. the looper is fun to play with but the looptrack plays louder than the livestream, and while loop mode is easy to get into and use getting back to selecting a different channel and/or preset from there is quite tricky and if you'd like to use a wah with that... idk figure it out yourself cause i haven't in six months.

Ulmtimatey any extra features of this pedal are rendered useless by being overcomlicated and poorly designed... so it just overpriced oreset selector with some novelty extra features

Comments about Peavey Sanpera I Guitar Footswitch:

this is a very good pedal, i find it easy to use and it doesnt let me down when im playing on satge. however there is very big critisism i would give this pedal which would stop me buying it all together. reliability of this pedal is shocking, honestly its less reliable than a person who is an advanced stage of altsimers disease to remember how to use an ipad, (rather easy),i bought it october 3rd with a one year wanrenty, within that year, i had been through 5 of these pedals and for a long time i was blaming myself because i thought i was being too tough with it, however my cousin for line 6 amp used its own custom pedal(not sure which model)and that, is flimsyer than caster sugar and yet he was being twice as brutal than i was and that never put a foot wrong, mine however is dead, again. i would strongly recommend using the sanpera 2, that is much easier to use,(not saying that the sanpera 1 wasnt)but crucialy it is 5 million times more reliable. get that or youll be crying like a baby with a smacked bot

Comments about Peavey Sanpera I Guitar Footswitch:

Probably the worst designed piece of equipment I have ever used. The Vypyr amp is fairly decent, but the Sanpera fails in every imaginable area. If there was a simple four button switch available (or compatible with the Vypyr) I would buy it in an instant. Whoever designed this should be forced to use it live for every performance. I guarantee changes would happen instantly. (who tested this thing anyway?) Far too complex for what it is supposed to do. Configuring the buttons differently would have imporved this product greatly.
Changing channels requires 3 button pushes, sometimes needing to press two buttons at once. It is easy (and a common problem) for the pedal to go into a mode that you don't want. Getting out is not easy. This is very poorly designed for playing live.
Pedal seems to be solidly built, but in typical Peavey fashion, the cord is 10 ft long and is multi pin rather than 1/4 inch. Pedal is very noisy (lots of hiss) as well. There is no way to disable the volume pedal function if desired.
Way overpriced for what it does.

Good Enough but Could be Better

Comments about Peavey Sanpera I Guitar Footswitch:

I love Peavey and I love the Vypyr series. I think the Vypyr is the best entry level amplifier available(I have 2 of them). That being said this pedal is okay but not great. It is a must to have one of the Sanperas to use your Vypyr in a band type setting. This pedal seems to me like more of an after-thought. They made these incredible amps and were then like "oh crap we need a footswitch" and this is what they put out. First of all it comes with a 10 ft cord. I had to buy a 25ft cord($32). The wah pedal is difficult to engage(sometimes I have tipped it over trying to turn it on). Lastly, the channel buttons are too close together. In a live setting I have wound up stepping on other channels by accident. It will do the job but could have been much better. I love Peavey but this pedal is not their finest hour.

Comments about Peavey Sanpera I Guitar Footswitch:

The Sanpera 1 is a great pedal that allows you to switch from the 12 presets that you program on the front of the Vypyr amp. But, it is specific for only the Peavey Vypyr? and cannot (at this time) be used with any other amp. It uses a MIDI cable connection. I wish the MIDI cable was a standard 20-25 foot cable. If you use this amp on a bigger stage setting? your amp will be closely tethered. I also wish that Peavey would have incorporated a tuning switch on the Sanpera pedals for that you could engage the tuner as it would be muted from the amp. If that were the case? I wouldn?t have to hook up my Boss tuner stomp pedal. The tuner in the amp is ok? but you can?t tune on the fly? without being heard? and without pushing the button on the amp. Just a though. As a whole, I love the pedal? it offers a great deal? although, I wish the looper allowed you to record more then 30 seconds? Here we go again? I guess if I?m doing any ?real? looping performances? I?ll use my Digitech ?Jam Man?? it rocks! The looper in the Sanpera is designed for practicing small things. Don?t get me wrong? I use it from time to time? and it works well? but 30 seconds isn?t much.Excellent work thus far? Peavey? just a couple of suggestions. If you hade included the tuner?and a longer looping track? this pedal would?ve been premo!buy it... you'll be glad you did.

This is a great pedal for the money. I can't imagine having a Vypyr without one. It's worth the price just to have the looper, plus you can use it for wah and stuff. I will probably get a Sanpera II for Christmas, but until then I love this one.

Comments about Peavey Sanpera I Guitar Footswitch:

I didn't think this was a great pedal. I mean you can access the looper and you have a wah pedal, that really the only good stuff there is. Because in order to access some of the stuff on there, you have to hit like to buttons AT THE SAME TIME!! I thought that was a bit confusing. I'd suggest get the sanpera II for a bit more, because as I've been told, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

Comments about Peavey Sanpera I Guitar Footswitch:

I just bought a Vypyr 30 with the Sanpera I. This is a decent pedal. It's switches are sturdy, and it's easy to hook up. The only complaint I have is that the expression pedal feels a bit lumpy. When you rock it, there's a little bump. Also, to access Auxiliary mode, you have to press down fairly hard. You could most likely fix this though. Other than this, it's a good pedal.
