I have owned this and a bigger version. I love the "vintage" clean tone choice. sounds real clean and twangy and bright. The modern clean choice is more like my fender superchamp, handles Distortion a bit better. The effects are a mixed bag. The delay and reverb are fine. I love the autowah, at 10 it sounds like Jerry garcia. The octave is like my boss pedal, the phaser is ok,a bit too full for me. The tremelo is weak, not very practical. Either its weak and slow are fst and way too strong. But its nice to have those effects at a gig if you dont want to lug pedals around. the distortion can get very heavy and full but i find it too thick, prefer a more classic overdrive sound. Good amp, the clean sound and autowah is what makes it worth it too me

I played this when looking for a new amp next to a Marshall. The Peavey was really hard to set right away, I know, its just an amp right?, Well it took me 40 minutes to get the tone I wanted out of it, the way it workes is on a before gain and after gain system, and you cant turn up both or else it just gets messy and sounds bad, same with both down. You have to compensate for everything you do and the effects just makes this worse. It looks cool and I know peaveys have good quality, but this really didn't impress me, I ended up gettin a marshall which sounds much better and is easier too...

Great Amp

By YariPicker

I bought this amp not really much about what I wanted due to lack of experience with electric guitars. I have had it over a year and I'm quite satisfied with it. I have tried others since but haven't found any I would trade for in the price range.

well its ok

i have had this amp for over a year. I like it cause its a good size amp for me to carry and to jam at other peoples houses but lately i have to get it fixed casue the master knob is broken. But otherwise this is an ok amo that will fit your needs.but then this amp dosent really bring out a tone to my guitar so either get anther peavey or a marshall that will bring out the tone. The fact that there are effects built into the amp and a good quality so you dont have to waste money on pedals but then you tend to want to have a better sound than what you got for now, so it can be dissapointing, but other wise to me this is a good practice amp and its ok for a while but then you get tired of it.

Pretty Good

By SkeetahPeetah

This amp is actually pretty good, I bought it at a small music shop, brought it home, and it sounds great. The volume is enough to gig with, but also can go low for practice use. The effects can't be beat for the price, and this amp works well with a pedal. It also sounds like a tube, which is an added bonus.

Got a good deal.

By WonderBear

I bought this amp at a local music shop brand new for almost half the price. I got a steal on this amp and I love the clarity. This amps clean channel is just what I'm looking for. I play rhythm guitar in a band and I play clean a lot... so I got a really good deal on a really great amp.

One Clean Monster!

This amp produces great tonal quality and clarity, the effects are outstanding and they sound like a genuine tube amp, but on a solid state rig! This amp is great for beginners to pros!

Good Amp!

This is a really good amp but the controls and knobs are a little tricky to get used to. The sound is really good and has good gain on it. I highly recomend this amp to any one who is looking for a good amp for the studio, on stage, or even practice at home.
