If you are convinced a footswitch has to be made of steel and weigh a ton to be adequate don't buy this one. I've had Peavey equipment (including footswitches) for over 30 years now and I've never had a problem with any of it. I agree that it's overpriced (but what isn't now days). I agree that it should come with the amp. I don't particularly like the slight delay when switching, but it's easy to get used to. Bottom line......You need this if you want to get the most out of your amp. I use this equipment almost 7 days a week and would recommend it to anyone. Hope this helps.

Really a dissapointment, it's made out of very cheap plastic. My mesa boogie footswitch could get stomped on by bigfoot and be fine; this however would not do so hot.
The only reason they can charge so much is because it is a necessity. It isn't worth even close to the price.

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

this producy works fine, durable plastic constuction. you need to have the channel buttons engaged on your amp for this to work, just so you all know. the lights match the lights on the amp. durable switches, will probably last forever. typical Peavey, i love it. a little latency when you change channels, which is kinda hard to get used to, but not impossible. it is kinda light so some mounting tape is a must to secure it to your pedal board.

A necessity, but built cheap and overpriced.

    By Brian Ross

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

This should just come with the amp, kind of sucks that you have to buy it separate. It's not like it is anything special. Just some cheap, flimsy plastic and 2 switches. But, you need it if you want to get the full functionality of your amp.
It is what it is, 2 switches.

    Does the Job

    By Ace of Bass

    from Texas

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

I own the Peavy valveking, so I have to use the footswitch designed for it....right? I fell like I'm gonna break this thing.
yeah...it features a slight hesitation when switching from clean to dirty...
Quality...eh. It's kinda flimsy if you ask me. Seems to me like something that is built to be stomped on night after night should be made out of a stronger material. This thing has a flimsy plastic bottom. But what are ya gonna do - it goes with the amp. We'll see how it holds up over time.
I expected a better product for the money.

    Very good product

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

I bought this switch to use with a friend of mines 1-12 valve king. I've been gigging with it for 3 weeks now and I must say it does the job very well. There is a delay when you hit either switch, but you get used to it. It's plastic, but a very durable plastic. I would highly recomend it.

    peavey windsor footswitch

    By Tone master 800

    from Coeburn Va

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

All I have to say about this footswitch is that it gets the job done. I have the peavey windsor full stack and use it at least 5 days a week, playing larger venues and such. while not the heaviest constructed it has held up great. day in and day out...

    This is an ok footswitch

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

This footswitch gets the job done as far as switching channels and turning the boost on and off but i really cant stand the fact that when you hit it it has a little bit of a delay so u have to hit it like a sec before you start playing again or your distortion or clean sound wont be there right away if you guys know what im talking about other than that its pretty good i dont see why people complain so much about it being made of plastic or rubber ive stomped on it a few good times since ive had it and havent had a problem with it at all its def not a total peice of crap

    eh... didnt work

    By Dylan S.

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

i must have got a bad one or something.. mine hardly works. you have to pull it out of the input and find the smallest sweet spot for it to kind of work, and when it does, the boost acts like the channel select...its weird. so im not going to say its bad, just that had a faulty one, and probably other people had better luck.

Comments about Peavey ValveKing and Windsor Guitar Footswitch:

People complaing about this thing being made of plastic must not have much experience with Peavey footswitches. I have owned Peavy amps with plastic footswitches since 1977 and one has NEVER failed me. It is not exactly a hard plastic, more of a semi-rubberized compound. Peavey does not make junk, so buy it.
