I use one of these and what I did was after several set up attempts I went into my garage and took a hammer and with the nail puller I pryed off the middle piece of wood in the middle and basically removed everything inside. I then cut a piece of 1/4 pli wood to fit inside on the bottom and drilled and screwed in some short wood screws to secure the new bottom surface. [painted it black too of course]The surface gives me relief so my affects are not too deep inside to step on. I bought some strips of velcrow and made some cool mounts for stuff, to make a long story short I use the same cool power supply but the little metal shelves and spaces within this thing just wern't working for my needs. I have a Steve Vai waw and a Whammy pedal and a 69 Fulltone and a Ibanez Flanger and a Boss Octive. All simople and inline and in a row. A little bit of work but you know how it is... for us guitarists sometimes it is necessary to set it up the way we need it. The box and power supply I could use but that metal shelve stuff only seems to work for small pedals if thats all you have or use. Iremoved the signal splitter and it is nice to have incase I want to run my Bass into two amps from nothing. Much better than a Y cable splitter.I gave it a 9 overall because I wish they made it out of pro rack case materials instead of a felt finish. But thats just a cosmetic thing mainly. It is a good tool for your gear for setting up thats for sure! I suppose most people will not remove the guts inside like I did. That devider inside is just stapled in and pops out easy with a hammer. "?"I recommend it with the $$ tag!

I play out 3-4 times a week and this unit is a real time saver. The downside is that in the 6 months I've owned it, I've had to resolder the connections, and one of the locks broke. This unit does come with a warranty, but who has the time to take their rig apart and mail it back. Overall, it's a great idea but average craftsmanship.

Very nice, not cheap though

By Jeffrey-Ipyg_

EXPENSIVE!!!! but well worth it if you plan to have a pedal board for years. Like lots of musical equipment, it's best to spend the money now and enjoy something nice for many years. I always feel great showing up to shows having the best pedal board there.

A Rugged Box

By NewYorkChris

from New York City

The MPS PedalPad system has made a big improvement with my live set-up overall. It's a sturdy box with quality metal plates to mount your pedals on. The only drawback there can be with such sturdiness is that this box is pretty heavy...I've recently employed a small dolly to roll it around on. My Pedals are very precious to me, and I'm a stickler for quality and sound. This box is very effective at keeping my pedals safe and ready for set-up. The conditioned power supply is great, and with the addition of a Furman power strip under the "top tier", I can power my AC-only pedals as well. I would say the only thing I didn't care for is the signal routing system which, though not unimpressive, I found to be overkill. So I removed that unit to make way for another piece of gear. I think no matter what board you buy, be prepared for a little work and some trial and error. It takes a while to configure the pedals in the order you like, run your signal cables in a sensible way, and position everything so that your boxes are secure and the lid still closes! No pedalboard, no matter how well-made, can do this work for you. But the MPS is a simple, sturdy, and well thought-out piece of gear.

MUST HAVE!!!

By GTRMAN-2.EVU

from Maryland

I purchased this pedalboard after having a fit with my previous powered board. Anyway, this thing is KILLER. It can power up to 8 individual effects and offers a very convenient means of routing the cables in the space UNDER the pedals. The options for setup are almost limitless. I run two loops on this thing one is pre-amplifier one is through the effects loop. The setup was fairly intuitive, but I had a litte trouble figuring out the patch pad since there's no schematic included. It still only took me 45 minutes to set it up with all of my pedals. The two-tier design is also great as you don't have to worry about indadvertantly activating or deactivating pedals while reaching for others.

High Quality Piece of Equipment, Well Worth it!

By S70Electroglide

from Medina, OH

I reviewed all the Pedal Pad type products, and this was the best all around. High Quality, Easy to Use, made to Accommodate all types of Guitar Players. Excellent Solution for those of us refuse to give up all of our Specialized Effects Boxes for one of the Multi-Effects Boxes. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." This "Pedal Pad" was worth every penny.

This truly is the ultimate pedal pad!

By holmburgers

from Topeka, KS

I actually know the maker of this pad and he is an avid guitar player who knows quality guitar products. This is an amazing product that kicks any other pedal pad type system out the door. I can honestly say it is the top of the line product for any guitar player who uses effects. And the features are endless, I cant recommend one enough!
