I have 6 pedals mounted on my PT-1-HC board with room for more.
Most of the wiring is under the board, keeping the look neat and clean.
I would recomend this product to a friend, And if I ever need a biger pedal board,
I will buy a Pedaltrain Board.
The Pedaltrain PT-1-HC is one of the most versatile pedal boards I have ever used. The board is all metal with a nice Satin Black finish. Comes with the best Velcro made. Zip-ties to keep wiring neet. Brackets for mounting power-supply under the board, leaving more room on top for pedals. A locking hard shell case that is foam lined, with extra room for cables, and miscellaneous gear.
When I first opened my PT-1-HC board, it was well packed and wraped in bubble wrap. Metal construction, square and flat, with Rubber feet. The best Velcro I have ever used. The locking hard shell case is light duty. { not a flight ready case } But the keys also fit my guitar case.
Pedaltrain pedal boards are strong, light, very well made. I would buy again. I think a 13" X 22" board with hard case, and all the goodies, for a Great deal.

Purchased my PT-1 w/hard case 11/28/2011. Pedalboard itself is fine for my purposes and may last longer than I do. Case, however, is junk....just as some reviews say it is. Packed case did fall off of rolling cart atop smaller combo amp, maybe 2 3 foot fall, landing on one corner. Split open to reveal really poor construction. As far as I can tell, non-repairable. As far as it being airline compatible: it might survive in the overhead storage in the cabin, but as checked baggage, it would probably come off the arrival baggage conveyor belt in splinters. After less than 3 months, my case is useless.

Pedalboard gets a "10" but case gets a "1. Technically that's 5.5.
Again, if my case were not now useless, I'd rate this higher.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-1-HC Pedalboard with Hardshell Case:

I bought this pedal board because of the "hardshell" case. The corners came apart almost immediately. It's really cheap and cannot withstand the weight of a typical pedal board.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-1-HC Pedalboard with Hardshell Case:

The actually pedalboard is really good and is provided with a lot of velcro - I used the velco with the hooks (rough side) on the board since it allows the pedals to work off the board and not stick to carpet, attracts less dust and this provides a more stable platform. Which side to use is a religious debate.
Pedalboard does take up a lot of stage space, which is why I'm moving to a nano. Not using a mounted power supply, but rather a power strip velro'd underneath - plenty of room for this.

I gave this a 4 because of the case - it's not really sturdy enough for frequent uses. Leaning on it from the side causes the aluminum frame to buckle- if you need a case for what is likely many costly pedals, get an ATA case, which they provide as an option.

    Great Pedalboard!

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-1-HC Pedalboard with Hardshell Case:

Overall, this is a great pedalboard; I have it loaded with a tuner, noise gate, wah, chorus, overdrive, and my amp's channel selector. Everything fits great, with room for another pedal or two. The padded case is very functional and works great for gigging, but I had to give a lower rating due to the fact that mine arrived damaged, and seems like it could be better built.
This pedalboard is extremely light for its size, which is a bit larger than i was expecting (a good thing!). Seems to be very well built, and looks great, too. Includes plenty of velcro tape for attaching pedals, plastic ties for securing cables underneath, and some addition mounting hardware for mounting a power supply. The padded case is a great addition, and large enough to provide extra room for cables/accessories, though mine arrived with some damage.
Everything seems great, with the exception of the before-mentioned damage to the case. Upon arrival, I discovered that one of the corner pieces (plastic) was broken, therefore not holding its panels (some sort of thin, wood-like material) tightly in place. I'll be repairing this myself - not a deal-breaker - but it has to make me question just how sturdy this case is, if it couldn't even make it to my home without getting broken.
Great value; but it is just a bit expensive for something that doesn't have some sort of power supply included.

I love my pt-1 but I did not realize the case was not ATA. It is more like a suitcase, which is still hard and has a lot of padding, I would just save and get the PT-2. Also i find myself having to turn pedals sideways to make room for more pedals because I run out of space.GREAT board though...Pedaltrain is awesome.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-1-HC Pedalboard with Hardshell Case:

I play all styles of music, but I mostly use this pedalboard for my church gigs. I don't like a to have a lot of effects on my rig for my style of playing, but I eventually accumulated enough to merit buying a pedalboard.

The Good: It's simple. Applying the Velcro is easy and installing the Voodoo Lab power supply is straight forward if you know how to use a drill. All the wires hang neatly beneath the board out of sight.

The Bad: I'm not impressed with the hardshell case. The hinges seam weak. I'm sure it will hold up under most abuses, but it could be better.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-1-HC Pedalboard with Hardshell Case:

I just wish I'd bought it sooner. Between this board and the use of a PedalSnake, setup is always a stress-free breeze!
I've had 3 pedalboards including the PT-1 and it is BY FAR the best. The beauty is in its simplicity. It's set up to use a power supply by Voodoo Labs, but I use a 1 spot run through my PedalSnake, and things just couldn't be easier or more space efficient.
I'd rate it a perfect 10, but I knocked off 1 point because one of the rubber feet came out the back of the board (easy fix though), and another point off because one of the latches on the hard case that came with my PT-1 has broken (but ultimately still holds together enough to work).
There's not much to this board, but it's PERFECT - especially when paired with the pedal booster riser you can get to go with it. Nice, thick steel and flat black finish means it's built for utility. I absolutely love my PT-1 and if I need a bigger pedalboard, will only buy Pedaltrain in the future. I just don't think there's a better board out there.

It's worth the money. You'll get a great value out of any piece of equipment if it's high quality and you are actually gigging with it. You get what you pay for.
It's a board with a case, and it's sized PERFECTLY.
Used for 2 years so far. Can't bust'm. Bought this especially for the case and foam lining.
It keeps your gear it good order. It should when you've got 8 pedals in this case!

This is definately a high quality board. The hardcase is decent and bigger that I expected. There is plenty of room for some extra essentials after you pack in the pedal board. It's a little pricey for a board doesn't come with a power supply.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-1-HC Pedalboard with Hardshell Case:

As many others have noted, the hard case for these is far from durable. Among other issues, the metal edges don't cover enough of the sides, so that when the top flexes (by doing things like closing the case with pedals in it), the seam separates. It still works, but having to duct tape all the seams knocks the pro rock vibe down a couple of notches.
No way would I even consider checking this on a plane.

The pedal board is built like a tank and comes with a nice case if you travel. The voodoo lab pedal power 2 fits/mounts perfectly under the board like the board and power supply are one unit. I got 8 good size pedals on the board and used the bullet cable kit system for neat appearance and clear sound with little change in tone or volume.

I own this board and it is the most essential peice of my rig after my bass of course. My PT has 7 pedals on it comfortably and 2 of those are rather large pedals (volume and a 3 channel preamp) the best part about the PT is when you pair it up with the voodoo lab pedal power 2 (it even comes with mounting instructions). Having the power supply underneath makes the board cleaner and saves room for more pedals. The case that is comes with too is rock solid and has 2 inch thick egg carton foam so that nothing moves around inside i put all my patch cords and power cables inside and when i open it in another city everything is in the same place.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-1-HC Pedalboard with Hardshell Case:

What a deal! This thing easily fits my eight pedals, including a Crybaby, my amp's remote pedal and my Boss and MXR pedals (three of each). It's larger than I expected, but that's great as I have room for more pedals. The pedals stick well with the Velcro, even the Boss ones (without removing the large rubber bottom).I've had no problems with the locks. The case has a lot of foam inside to prevent things from becoming loose or moving around; I just push it down a bit as I lock it. Love the fact that you can lock it with a key (included). The only thing that could be better is that the finish on the case scratches a bit too easily. I am careful with my things but when you're transporting this thing in your car, you better make sure that your amp or guitar case don't touch it.Other than that, great bang for the buck!
