I had been looking to upgrade my pedalboard for some time now and I had always been drawn to the Pedaltrain series. I know many musicians who use them and you see them just about everywhere you go and on TV. I figured there must be something to them. I received it about a week ago and it lived up to what I was expecting. First of all the design is brilliant. It's built very well and it's easy to set up. I love that it was specifically designed to accommodate the Voodoo Labs power supply (or similar power supply). The gig bag is also very well made and practical. One complaint I have is the quality of the velcro. I wiped down the pedalboard as instructed to make sure it adhered well to the surface but one out of the four strips kept coming up. The others are still hanging on but they look like they could also come loose. But it's a quick and simple fix. I picked up some industrial strength velcro for like $8 and it's all good now. I find it funny that a such a great product comes with inferior velcro. But I'm not too upset over that, it was an easy remedy. The only other thing that I can think of that I dislike might be the price. Even though it's a great design, it's a basic and simple product. But ALL pedalboards are way overpriced so I won't gripe too much about that either. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with the PT-2.

The carrying bag is of good quality, but otherwise nothing special about Pedaltrain?s overpriced PT-2 pedalboard. It is a major hassle to attach the mounting brackets supplied for a powersupply. You will have to drill your own mounting holes, so you?d better have a good drill and metal boring bit. At this price, you'd think Pedaltrain would at least pre-tap the frame for the mounting brackets or maybe even come up with a more user friendly design. I probably should have sent mine back to MF, as I received a previously sold scratched up item that apparently, the previous owner had attempted or considered mounting a powersupply, but thought better of it, packed it back up, and returned it. Wish I had seen the demos and reviews on YouTube before purchasing. Check them out yourself and save yourself a headache. Purchase something else, it is not worth it.

Terrific Pedalboard!

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I recently purchased the PT-2 because I was tired of lugging an SKB PS-45 around. While the PT-2 doesn't have a power supply like the SKB, I find it a thousand times more convenient. I currently fit an Ernie Ball volume pedal as well as 10 other pedals...(yes....10!) on my PT-2. The PT-2 comes with brackets so that you can mount a Pedal Power (or similar) power supply underneath the board but I power everything with a One Spot with no problems whatsoever. The PT-2 is rugged and the soft case is sturdy and comes with a shoulder strap. The overall footprint of the PT-2 is far smaller than the SKB and I am kicking myself for not getting this board sooner!

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I like the simple design. It's both large and lightweight. Fits a wah wah and eight pedals without crowding. Attaching a power supply requires some drilling. I'm handy and still had some difficulty. I think PedalTrain should partner with a few companies (e.g., Voodoo Labs) to pre-fit the brackets, (which are supplied) so that you only need to screw them in. The drilling can get a little tricky. On another note, my MF sales rep (LeVon?) was outstanding. I'd received a damaged Gator board initially and he made the exchange a no brainer.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I bought this to replace my 50 Lbs. homemade board, and man, is it great. It feels like I could park a truck on it. (Probably couldn't) It is extremely light and i can run every cable under the board as well as a power strip. The case is great. It's well padded and has a massive pocket in the front. I recomend buying a warranty with it to make you feel it's invincible. I don't think I'll be using it, but I feel great having it. I am very happy with this board and will use it till I die. (It will probably last till then anyway.) ;)

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I owned have used the Pedal Train Pro for the last 2+ years. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and used the heck out of it. In the last few months it came to a point where I just realized I didn't need to haul around such a big pedal board. Since I am such a big fan of the PedalTrain line, I went with the PT-2 with the soft case. In comparison to the Pro that I got years ago, the medal seems more durable and lighter weight. They seem to be better prepared for mounting the power supply under the board. The soft case bag is even better quality. I am really pleased with the board, the case, and the items they send you to get you set up. I am a big fan of this company, and I am glad I made this purchase.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

The last few years I've been slowly transitioning from playing through a multi fx unit to building up a collection of quality pedals to get the sounds I was after. I didn't want to shell out the cash for a pedalboard until I had all the pedals I needed so I wouldn't have to upgrade to a bigger board later on. Right now my pedalboard consists of a phaser, two od's, a big muf* tone wicker, an analog delay, a 7-band eq, a reveb pedal, a BBE sonic stomp plus the foot controller for my amp (a Peavey Delta Blues 115). Everything fits on the PT-2 like a glove and makes setting up and tearing down for gigs and rehearsals so much faster and easier. It's like having the convenience of a multi fx unit but without having to sacrifice on sound quality. I was carrying around my pedals in an old gym bag and they were getting pretty beat up and dirty. Now they're all tucked away in a nice padded bag. I haven't had a problem with the included Velcro. I did clean all the surfaces of the board and the bottoms of my pedals with rubbing alcohol before applying the Velcro so maybe that makes a difference. I had to remove the rubber pad from one of my pedals (a Visual Sound Open Road) to get it to stick but that really wasn't a problem. I used a planet waves solderless pedalboard cable kit to make the longer cable runs and it worked great and a Visual Sound One-Spot daisy chain for a power supply. So now all I have to do to is connect two instrument cables, my amps footswitch and plug in the one-spot power supply and I'm ready to rock. I only play locally so I didn't need the flight case. The soft shell case looks sturdy enough for local gigs and comes with a nice padded shoulder strap and a front pocket for holding extra cables, power strips and whatnot. Some might think that it's a little expensive for what it is but to me it was worth it just or the convenience aspect and the protection it provides my pedals. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I have been holding out for this pedal board because I already bought the VooDoo Lab power adapter which was designed to bolt on under it. Everything about this pedal board is good and it is solidly built! The soft shell case it comes with is also of excellent construction and seems pretty strong. All my pedals fit on this thing perfect and the VooDoo Lab installation was straight forward and easy.
