I was on the fence about this because I have a POD HD 500 which in itself is like a pedal board complete but I use a Tube Screamer clone and 5 Cable method. Setup at gigs was getting me down because it took to long to cable everything and plug in adapters. I also had issues with drunks if I play where no stage is. The five cables I use are MIDI out, Send, Return, Input, Guitar In. The cables sticking out of the front are fair game for the stomping feet of wasted people.

I mounted my POD low on the board and the connectors have clearance now. I also incorporated a mount using a plumbing flange to hold my Mic stand. The pro had plenty of room for a custom mounting of a power strip under the board and was able to have power connectors accessible from the front of the board. The connector also feeds a hardwired 15ft extension to power the strip.

My test came last weekend at a gig and I was up and running in 5min. I keep 4 of the five cables tied together (20ft in case you're wondering) and plugged into the POD and simply put the board in the case gently upside down and lay the 4 unplugged cable ends in the recessed area neatly with the extension. Flip it over and zip up and away I go. Reverse the process unpacking at the gig.

I was worried the Velcro wouldn't hold the POD but it does a great job. I make sure the weighted end of the board goes in the case so it is supported by the bottom.

I have had this board for about a year. The board itself is incredibly durable with the aluminum frame. My complaint is the soft case. It isn't padded very well, doesn't feel like it offers much protection. The zipper has also broken so I can't close it all the way. I would recommend the flight case or maybe something else if you want to get more of a year or two out of the case, because the board will last you forever.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-Pro Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I originally intended to build my own pedalboard out of wood, but decided not to after I got half-way through. The Pedaltrain was WAY lighter than the wood, and much more sturdy.

I wasn't sure how the soft-padded case would be, but it's a lot better than I thought. It had plastic inserts to hold it's shape, and protect your pedals. I would't fly with it, but it's great for getting back and forth between playing.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-Pro Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

Hi all, I,v been playing Guitar sence 1965 to present. This is a nice board. If you have collected more than 12 plus pedals over the years and need a place to get them out and use them again, all in one place, this board is a great choice. Fully loaded with the bag case it weights maby 25 lbs max.
As said many times it come with enough velcro to mount anything. I have the same problum that has been stated before, The pedals tend to slip when the board is stored or moved upright.
You/they might be able to come up with a modified rung system that has, say a type of stop system that snaps in place no matter where your pedal is. A series of holes on the face of the rungs 1 in appart would do the trick for the stops to fit in. For your Wah pedals you might be able to come up with a simple clamp system with a graber that only touches the side of the pedal. It wouldnt take much as the velcro does most of the work, it just needs a little help to make things stay put when the board is moved/stored. You could tye lock pedals to the rungs as well but there are no holes drilled for this. Just a thought. I still like the board and the sliding proublum can be solved.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-Pro Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I have 10 Boss pedals, one Crybaby, one Boss Volume/Expression Pedal, plus an additional DC power brick installed on the top, and Voodoo Lab mounted in brackets under the board. All wires and harness connections are neatly hidden, but you might take a tip & use plenty of zip ties to anchor your power cables and not bundle them as you would in a power harness. That way, if you have to replace a pedal or two, you won't have to re-route all the cables for replacing just one pedal. I love this board and it's much lighter than the wooden one I use to have all my pedals installed in. I don't think a better idea is out on the market right now.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-Pro Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

The design is solid and it's big enough to go crazy with your boxes, but the included velcro didn't stick (I let the velcro sit for several days before I put any pedals on it). I store my pedal boards on their side but after a week stored like that it started pulling the velcro away. Not in an easy to fix way either. It will all have to be removed and the surface cleaned. I didn't spend all that money so I could mess around with it this way so I went back to my old board until I get motivated to fix it. I'm disappointed and it's reflected in my overall rating.

The carrying bag needs better and more pockets and I felt it was too flimsy.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-Pro Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

This board is construced very well and the bag is strong and accomodates the board with pedals attached. I mounted a BBE "Supa Charger" to power my pedals with the hardware that was included with the board. There was plenty of room to put my Wah and my 11 other pedals on the board without having them parked so close together that activating a pedal would be hard to do without stepping on a neighboring pedal. The velcro that was supplied wiith the board holds everything in place so well that I can turn the board upside down and the pedals don't budge. Very happy with this board.

I bought this thinking "I love pedals, I play frequently, I need the USS Eisenhauer of pedalboards"....so I got it and immediately realized a need to remodel my home.

This pedalboard is everything you've come to expect from Pedaltrain: tough, foolproof, easy-to-assemble, etc...it's just so flippin' BIG. Are you SURE you need this much room?

If the answer is YES, buy without delay.

I love this pedal board. I got it because im working on my bass guitar pedal board and didnt realize how big this thing was... but that is not a bad thing. I can fit Eletronic harmonix pedals and my boomerang on here with 2 source audio pro pedals with lots of room for anything else!! Bottom line, amazing.
