Comments about Pigtronix Phi Echolution Chrome Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
this is one of those pedals that will give you tons and tons of sounds, you could create some great textures with it. the possibilities seem infinite, well almost. i expected to be able to tap dotted quarter or dotted eighth notes by themselves but it seems like they my must be stacked with your regular pulse. Other expectation that I was let down on was the drive knob, it is not actually an overdrive for your delay, it effects the source and delay and is more like a clean boost. The drive knob also elevates an already present white noise. I guess it is white noise, technically it might be pink noise, I don't remember the difference right now.Other issues I found were that the pedal not only generated noise when engaged, but also when the trails toggle is up regardless of whether or not you have the pedal "on". The modulation side also created noise that pulses with the LFO pulse when the Mod Delay side's lights are on, this is also whether or not the pedal is active. So there are two NOTABLE sources of noise that can be present whether the pedal is on or off. I have seen people complain of noise and others that didn't notice it, maybe it varies pedal to pedal or on set up, or maybe some situations just make it easier to hear it. I suspect the noise could be related to the included power supply, it reminds of noises I have heard on my own pedal builds using a cheap power supply to test them.Again a cool pedal, great tool for spacey guitar ambience but I am definitely returning mine. I have worked too hard to keep my signal chain clean.
