The PolySaturator distortion pedal from Pigtronix takes the original design even further, adding a Class A J-FET booster stage to the front end and re-voicing the gain structure to provide an even wider range of sounds. The PolySaturator produces everything from subtle grit to blue velvet sustain inspired by our favorite tube amp lead channel.
The PolySaturator excels at gritty, edge-of-overdrive tones, but crank up the gain and you will be assaulted by face-melting ultra-high-gain sounds that will please shredders and shoegazers alike with impressive string to string clarity and F.A.T. tube sound. Our JRC4558D powered EQ circuits provide 12 db / octave active filtering over three distinct audio bands. This powerful EQ structure combined with a state-of-the-art approach to tube emulation, allows the musician to dial up wildly diverse and satisfying textures of analog distortion. Unprecedented touch sensitivity and overall range of distortion tones is achieved through multiple gain stages, and active EQ, perfectly balanced to give the musician enhanced control and expression using picking dynamics alone.

A quiet pedal when ran off of isolated 15volt power, groundbreaking fuzz.
great features, the three band eq rocks, you can get big full fuzz tones, to an extreme clean boost that makes the driest of pickups sound juicy.
Amazing quality, next to invincible. The knobs are comfortable and sturdy, and the bright green glossy box is unbreakable. some people say this pedal is noisy. They are wrong. You need to run it off an isolated power source, the 15volt one it comes with in the box, and dont use crap cables, i use lava mini coil patch cables, and this pedal is silent.
A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, a well built, amazing sounding boutiqey pedal.

Bought one of these after watching and listening to a great demo of it on a guitar website. Got it out of the box plugged it in and was immediately turned off by how noisy this pedal is. Lots of chaotic feedback that needs to be controlled with your volume knob on your guitar. It does have an incredibly wide scope of overdriven, fuzzy type colors but I feel like they can't be adequately utilized due to the noise factor. Sent it back and got a different style fuzz pedal instead and am much happier. I really had high hopes for this pedal but was incredibly let down by it.

I recently purchased the PolySaturator. I was looking for a versatile distortion pedal. I was surprised to find that the distortion this pedal produces is indeed a very fine tight fuzz rather than all out distortion. It is a cool effect but not one that I would use at all times.The Fuzz from this pedal has an almost synth like quality to it and sits on top of your original tone rather than over powering it. This is a good thing if you like your tone and want the guitar to be heard rather than a wall of crunch. The Fuzz is indeed far tighter and more focused than any other Fuzz I have heard. It is not mushy like the other famous Fuzz Pedal we all know. This is a very unique and pronounced effect.It would make a great second distortion pedal for anyone into refined mayhem.
