The idea behind the Plush Cream Overdrive Effects Pedal was to create a pedal with the 3-knob simplicity of a classic screamer-type pedal, while elevating the stompbox to modern boutique standards. In addition to the selected Integrated circuit, Plush carefully chose each resistor and capacitor giving voice to the Cream to be quiet, smooth yet articulate, and dynamic. The Cream Overdrive responds to both picking strength and guitar volume, and—best of all—it feels like a tube amp.
The Cream Overdrive pedal's gain control takes you from a mild edge to the hardest scream. The tone control takes you from a warm "woman tone" to a screaming lead tone with just the right amount of sparkle. Choose your tone, then set your level with the output control and rock on!
Like all Plush guitar effects pedals the Cream Overdrive has: a cast aluminum housing, industrial powder coat finish, heat cured silk screen labeling, true bypass, Cliff switch, Neutrik connectors, metal shaft controls, premium boutique quality passive components selected for tone, mil spec fiberglass 2-sided circuit board construction for consistent long term performance,and a 5-year warranty. Made in the USA.

Glorious tube amp like overdrive from a little red box. Prior to purchasing this pedal through Musicians Friend, I was shopping the market pretty hard for a real deal Fuchs amplifier. Though I understand you get what you pay for, these boutique amps are a bit steep in price. Besides, I absolutely love the clean tones that are produced between my Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue and my Heritage H-150CM. So, it came down to that I was only wanting the Fuchs amp for it's delicious overdriven tones. I was so happy to see that Musicians Friend carries the Plush line of pedals made by Fuchs. The Cream pedal gives all of the overdriven goodness that I was craving, and then some. I've had several different varitions of Tube Screamer pedals (including the Holy Grail Ibanez TS808), and this Cream pedal has been the most versatile of them all. My rock guitar tones are reminiscent of 70's rock (Boston, Led Zepplin, Bad Company), and the Cream pedal with the gain knob set between 12 and 1 o'clock give me all the grit I need. The gain knob wide open really lets this pedal show it's teeth, and yet it's unbelievably smooth. The lead tones at this point are very liquid, and sing like a violin. Very dynamic pedal. I'm very happy with this pedal, and foresee it being my main drive pedal on my board for many years to come.
