    Best Uses

Comments about Randall Nuno Bettencourt NB King 100 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Power Tubes: 4 EL34 Ceramic tube sockets!!
      Preamp Tubes: 3 12AX7, 1 12AT7 Phase Inverter
      External Bias Test/Set Points
Solo Channel works like adding an overdrive pedal to Channel 2. Very well made.
Does have one of the best Master Volumes of all amps. Set the channel volume low and turn the Master high for true output power distortion. Tons of mids!! Becareful tweaking and choosing the right tubes to tame the crazy highs and mids on it. It takes some time to learn how to tweak it and find your tone since all eq knobs work together.Increasing or lowering one will affect the way the others work. Great for hot rodded JCM 800 and Plexi sounds. Will never do the modern mid scooped stuff. Clean Channel is good but not Fender wich is fine with me. This amp will deliver its best tone with the Master Volume at least at noon. The tone is there. Take some time with it and you will love it.

      Could be half as big!

Comments about Randall Nuno Bettencourt NB King 100 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Look at this thing! Everything is all on one side. I bet if you pick it up, it is really heavy on one side, like an old, offset JTM 45 Marshall from 1965! LOL I heard one on youtube and like the tone. No reverb, but alot of us don't require it. It could probably fit in a chassis half the size it is in. My experience with Randall has shown me a few things. Looks matter to them. Tone is good, even their solid state amps! (Dime used them religiously!) Quality is good also. Be ready to spend some cash, but I'm sure they stand behind their products. Check out Randall's RT line before buying this amp. You may want to go that route.
