I use this cabinet as the bottom half of a full stack. I use a Marshall slant with Celestion 30's for the top and what an amazing sound and set up. The Randall is probably the better built cab and has the stereo switch and dual inputs. The Celestion Rockets are very nicely toned. It is a deep low tone as compared to the Marshall. ther Rockets are a mid sized magnet speaker that can take alot of gain and still take it with great tone and no break up. With my 100 watt all tube head I can get a great bassey, distorted, overdrive tone that just gets ya to the bone and when I use the both cabs it is the best sound I've heard in a long time. Great price for a very well built Cabinet with tons of tone. I'd highly recommend it at the retail price...but the Musicians Friends price, you can't beat this

I've had this for a month and I bought it because I thought it would go great with the RH150 G3 turns out it doesn't. I don't know if the cab just sucks or if it can really handle anything over 100watts because when I palm mute from 10 o'clock and up on the volume I get that awful worffing sound when the speakers can't handle the bass and it cuts off alot when I play with volume at 12 o'clock and up especially when I use a distortion pedal. I don't know if I got a defective one or if I'm the only one who actually uses alot of distortion and likes to play loud. Anyways I'd suggest getting a cab with better speakers than the rocket 50s

Nice cab

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I have owned the angled cab for nearly 10 years. I have had NO problems with it. I've ran mesa rectifier's, and marshall tsl heads through this wwith great success. The celestion rocket 50's have much more crunch/mid range and seering highs in comparision to a standard marshall cab. great for leads.

Sounds Great !!!!!!!!!!!

By Gwiz

The rocket 50's are the perfect match for this cabinet. the cab is designed very well, perfect dimensions.I love it. I wish it was made as a slant cabinet also. I would like to buy another one, but I really wish there was a slant cabinet made available; to go with my straight cabinet.

dont be fooled by the celestion name on these piece of garbage speakers. celestion rocket 50s... who the hell has ever used a celestion rocket 50 in their cab? this was my first cab and i can assure you that it is horrible. i was using the rh200 head and whenever i turned the amp up past 5 the cab would start farting and put out some of the muddiest tone i had ever heard. dont buy this cab.

This Is My Dream Amp !!

By Stratman666

from Dearborn Hgts, MI

I have used everything from Marshall To 5150's (Peavey) to Soldano and so on. This is my sound, Straight out of the box. I am running 3 Randallheads. 2 RH100's and 1 RH200 and I could not ask for more crunch and bottom end. Set at 1 or 10, this cabinet takes everything I throw at it and still wants more. Great job Randall, And bravo to Musicians Friend for keeping the price at a musician friendly level. This cabinet has the best of both worlds, Slant speakers and grill cloth, And a straight cab top to handle any head combination you want to have.I do suggest the Randall RH100 or RH200, They are brutal.

Good for the money

By Brad-9S8Zz

from Rincon, GA

I use it with my RH200 and I think that the amp overpowers the cab. I want to get another cab just like it to see if it helps. Sounds good at bed room levels, but when cranked it wants to whoof. Great product for the money though. Big, heavy, well built, randall could have put better speakers in it, but it would raise the price

It's worth the asking price...

I've been using this cab with a Randall rh-100, marshall jcm 800, and a Hughes and Kettner Warp, all 100 watt heads, and they all sound d*mn good thru this cab, as good as either Marshall I now have stored in the garage. So if you get what I'm saying here-100 WATT HEADS- running thru this cab..hell, you can't go wrong.

Can't Go wrong with Celestions

I've had this cab for about a year now and have had no problems with it. The Celestion Rocket 50's sound great, I?ve heard cabs that are a lot more money that don't compare to this cab. Don't let the low price on this cab change your mind. But if you want a more pro sound and higher sound quality save the money, bite the bullet and get something with Vintage 30's or G12T75's .

Good Cab for the money

By Deadnight Thrasher

from Chicago

I have owned this cabinet since 1997. I also own a few different marshall cabinets as well. FOR THOSE OF YOU RUNNING HIGH GAIN HEADS!The Randall has more midrange/crunch, and sharper/searing highs in comparison to most Marshalls (on high gains, which usually sound a little brighter with less midrange). To me, this is a great lead cab, it helps my leads cut through the mix. I used this cab in conjunction with a line 6 head on my bands album.
