This highly versatile Randall RM100M 100 Watt 3-channel Guitar Amplifier Head melds tradition and technology. 3 independent channels can be loaded with your choice of any of the available tube preamp modules from Randall (modules sold separately). Set this head up with tones that exactly fit your needs, then expand your arsenal anytime you like.
Enjoy the ease of replacing your power tubes anytime you like, with the very user-friendly power tube bias section. If a tube fails, no problem, the amplifier will kick that tube out of the circuit, and a small LED will light by the tube that fails.
Connect your RM100M amp head to any MIDI-capable external processor and program individual effects to each channel. With the MIDI in/thru, simply select your channel and external effect, using the included RF3 MIDI footswitch. The footswitch will select both the RM100 channel and effect you want at the same time.
So, if you need the volume and power only a head will offer, choose one that will adapt to your styles.
All optional modules include 2 - 12AX7 preamp tubes, 3 band EQ with bright switch, and level control.

When it comes to versatility, this is one of the most versatile amplifiers on the market. Out of TUBE amplifiers, this IS the most versatile.There are a lot of things that the guitar gearheads have been wanting that have been built into this amplifier. You can bias the amplifier safely and easily yourself. You can use different types of power tubes in different configurations. The amplifier's main feature is the swappable preamplifier modules which let you have three channels of customizable tone.Now when it comes to tone, there are a lot of options with this head. The controls on the modules are really sensitive though and sometimes just a slight movement of the knob can change the tone drastically. Also by running the master volume at a high level while having the preamp volume low, you can achieve that saturated tone of a high volume amplifier, but at lower volumes. A very nice "feature" for those that are recording.

I bought this head a few months ago and have absolutely nothing bad to say about it at all. All the versatility you could want at an affordable price. The one thing I do have to say is that the cooling fan onboard acts up sometimes....as in it makes a loud noise almost as if the motor is skipping. A couple of quick little finger taps on the fan unit solves this problem.

I bought my MTS last september and here we are in june and its functions and versatility are continuing to blow me away. My modules are: Tweed, Plexi, and XTC... a prime set-up for an amateur gigging musician and recording hobbyist. Paired with a XL or MTS cab it's killer. The Mic eliminator function is very useful as well as intuitive for recording... Versatility, Killer Tone, and it's built like a TANK... It's all you could have ever wanted.

I've just recently purchased one of these amplifiers and am really impressed. I've been reading about them for monthes and finally decided to go for it. I've got 4 modules the blackface, sl+, recto, and ultra. They are all very unique in sound and sound true to there roots. This head is defenitely powerful I have the randall rs 125 xl cab and its an excellent match. I highly recommend this amp due to its versatility and overall build quality. For most any type of music I believe this thing has the right tones and enough volume to fill most venues. Randall and Bruce Egnater hit dead on with this one!

I was skeptical before checking this head out. I had heard the hype, but wasn't convinced it would do what it did. Each module is nearly dead-on with most of the preamps they're modeled after. The amp was dynamic and responsive, and just sounds unbelieveable.

This amp does everything you could ever want. The most shocking thing about the RM100 is how little coverage it's getting considering everything it can do. It blows digital modeling out of the water. I haven't heard the 6l6s but my EL34s give amazing tone. Also I'm sure that this is the case with other same level amps but my XTC channel does a great job of pulling out all of my leads. I was torn between the it and the TSL but the RM100 can do so much more for me, especially with its MIDI capabilities. I can choose any of the 3 amp models I have in along with any effect on my boss GT-3 pedal, all with only one push of a button. In my spare time I also record other bands which makes this amp even more useful. With the different modules I can have a dozen different amps sounds available for roughly the same price as one of the amps it's modeling.It's versatile, it's tube, it's analog, and the only thing I would think of selling it for would be the rack version. (rm4 and rt2/50)

Played the head recently at another guitarist house. This head is unmatched as far as what it can do! Certain modules fit my style much better, but I must say all the modules he had I liked. I will be getting this amp soon!

I have always chosen to play Solid State UNTIL NOW!!!! One of the drawbacks for me as an avid effects user was the switching aspect of turning effects on and off while channel selecting. It kept me away from tubes... BUT this head solves ALL of those problems with it's Midi-integrated switching!! Not to metion the CRUSHING Tube Tone!!! All of the mods sound AMAZING!! I could not be happier with this amp. It has ALL the bells and whistles AND That CRUSHING TONE!!! This is by far the most versatile head I have come across, and at around the same price or lower as some of the other tube heads with half the features and half the versatility...THANKS RANDALL. NO more solid-state for me. I'm a certified TUBE-HEAD.
