Huge sound in a small package for an easy price!
Randall set out to deliver a small, lower wattage amp that would retain the tone of much-larger box combos. They shaped the tone circuit to deliver plenty of tight low end and enough sizzle to satisfy a metal monster. Box size was slightly increased to produce a lower resonant frequency, finished out with a heavy duty Celestion speaker. Dual channels with level on the clean and overdrive boost mode. 3-band EQ, master volume, 16 killer digital effects with level, effects loop headphone out, and CD input.

I've owned this amp for over a year and confirm what most of the other reviewers have stated. Dollar for dollar you're not going to find a better 30 watt solid state amp. This amp is built like a tank, it's super loud, the clean channel sounds great, and the distortion channel sounds very tube like. In addition the DSP effects sound pretty decent. This amp should satisfy any type of player.
This amp was the first one I ever had for my guitar practice. It is good an loud, but it's not "noisy" neccicarily, it's very sharp and effective for the effects you want. It is great quality for the price, but it isn't so big that it's bulky or anything; it is quite managable to carry with you . . . anywhere.I recommend this to anybody who is thinking about buying it. Great for practice, no matter what the skill.
I've had this amp for almost a year now and is one of the best amps that I have ever listened to and it's features and sound is very good. I connect this amp to a digitech gnx2 and a wasbhrun guitar and it just sounds very good, playing from metal to jazz.
I reveived this amp for Christmas 2005, and after having the amp replaced once for defect, I have had a chance to really see what this thing is capable of. Randall packed a rocket 50 Celestion and mated it with a 30 watt (sounds way louder than 30 watts) SS amplifier with clean and overdrive channel. The clean channel is super clean, and the overdrive channel can get pretty heavy. The digital effect channel is controlled by the footswitch and it produces some simple yet high-quality effects. The amp is constructed very well and I have to say is a heck of a value compared to other amps in this wattage/price range. Other amps I played before deciding in the Randall were Vox, Crate, Marshall, Line 6. I definitely recommend this amp to anyone who is looking in this price range and wants the digital effects.
This amp RULES!!! I mean, sure, it ain't a Marshall or Krank Tube amp but c'mon. For what you get, the price cant be beat. I was surprised at the delay effect because Ive tried amp delays that suck. But both of the delay settings were awesome. The feedback can be high at times but my Boss NS2 rides that feedback down on horseback and, ya know... takes care of it. Searing highs and crushing lows even on a bad(ish) guitar. Awesome cleans too. Just buy it!
