most for your money
I bought two of these amps one for my self and one to put in the church for anyone to use. I will buy another as soon as I find them for the price I paid for the first two.I have all kinds of amps by different brands Fender Gibson Yamaha and others Both bass and guitar amps. This is the cleanest amp I ever heard. and everyone that uses it in the church, Just go on and on about how great it sounds. And they love built in tuner. By the way if you turn the volume down so you wont blow the speaker you can tune your bass with it also I am of the old school that thinks music should be smooth and clean. I don't use any kind of distortion guitar picker
can't beat it

Great buy

Very nice amp with nice features at a bargain. I only wish it were made in America.

Perfection

Comments about Raven RG60 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

The Raven RG60 is my amp of absolute perfection. First off all, this thing really is made to work with your effects pedals/processors. It does an excellent job of delivering exactly the tone your effects are made to have. The RG60's natural sound, both clean and with gain are perfect for those who really only need a couple of sounds. This thing also gets LOUD! You won't believe how loud this 60 watter will get.

Comments about Raven RG60 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

I bought this to upgrade from my Peavey Vypyr 15 modeling amp. I have a metal distortion pedal, so I don't need to effects besides maybe reverb once in a while. This amp's clean channel is amazing, much better than the Vypyr. However, there is a buzzing noise whenever I turn it on. It's in the same spot I had my Vypyr, but I didn't get any buzzintg on that one. This buzzing is always on, no matter if I have a guitar plugged in and/or the volume on both all the way down. The upside is that you can't hear it when you play. This is a good practice combo amp for the money, and it's quite loud. I barely turn the knob and it my drums shake.

Comments about Raven RG60 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

Don't be impulsive and buy this because it has more power than your current amp. Save the cash and put it towards a better amp. This is good, but leaves you wanting a Marshall or Line 6.

Bare Bones.

Comments about Raven RG60 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

First of all this is a bare bones amp. I love it. Im so tired of all the effects and "digital" amp modeling crap....its actually really hard to find an amp like this. Well when I first played it everything was ok. The distortion lacked some depth. I changed the speaker to a Eminence 75w Black powder. And WOW!!!! totally changed. I play a schecter hellraiser c-1 to a tube king pedal strait to the amp...and it will def turn heads. This is a good practice amp. Gigging I guess I would prefer to push some more air than one 12. Overall this is a really great buy. If you have pedals and a decent preamp then this amp will let you figure your sound out with no problems.

Comments about Raven RG60 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

I had the chance to try this out yesterday after hearing so much about it, and to be honest, I wasn't impressed at all. While the clean channel sounded good, the distortion channel left a lot to be desired. I noticed that if you're using a guitar with humbuckers, then the distortion on this amp really shines through, but if you're using single coils like I do, then you get more of a overdrive rather then a true distortion. You'd be much better off using a stomp box with this amp. I'll say one thing, this amp is amazingly loud for a 60 watt solid state combo, but I wouldn't use it on stage. I see this more as a amp for a beginning guitarist or for use as a practice amp rather than anything else. For the price,it's not bad, but I've heard a lot better. If you've been playing a long time like I have, then you'd be better off spending your money elsewhere.

Superb

Comments about Raven RG60 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

This amplifier is the best for 200. It is simply great. The distortion is so crisp and sharp, it is better then my friends Line 6 Spider II 75 watt, probably louder. This baby screams! The clean setting is great. The reverb is okay, but not the best.

I just got this amp and i am very impressed. I have it set for a crunchy metal sound and it does pinches like a dream. The only problem with it is the tuner its a little off but other than that I am very pleased. BuY tHiS aMp!!!

Okay Amp, GREAT for the price!

Comments about Raven RG60 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

First off, the obvious benefit to this amp is the wattage-per-dollar ratio. My 60w appears to be well made- not marvelous craftsmanship but not too shoddy either. It sounds pretty okay, especially for the price. I would place it on par with a Crate or a cheapish Peavy combo- just bare bones amplification. The clean channel is a little bright and dry, but decent. The "lead" overdrive/distortion channel is definitely nothing to write home about- definitely won't cut it for metal rhythms or even hard rock. Sure, it's distorted, but there isn't much depth/crunch/soul to it at all. Comparable to a Fender combo I used to have, but with the gain turned about halfway. I play pretty heavy stuff, so I'm used to depending on distortion pedals anyway. (Unless it's a Krank, Mesa, or Tube Marshall...)As for features, this has almost none. A reverb knob, bass, mid, and treb for both channels, effects loop in back, external speaker, that's about it. I don't think it's a bad thing if you're looking for a pretty bare-bones amp.Overall, I would say this is actually a good option for a wide variety of guitar players because it's a good blank canvas to add different pedals and effects on top. I haven't had it for long so can't attest to the quality, but for a 2-year warranty, why worry? EXCELLENT choice for a new guitarist. GOOD pick for a novice/small gigger. OK for experienced players as a practice/recording option.
