Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
This thing is completely INSANE. I love it. I bought for use as an 'over-the-top' tone machine... not so much as a straight up fuzz tone box. typically people employ fuzz with the clean channel on so the fuzz is as it is from the box. I just don't use it that way... it's my next step after the amp (Marshall) is fully gained up, press the AWAKEN switch and a little extra grit & infinite sustain are there, very adjustable and the SPUTTER control is the main reason i bought this unit - it allows u to set a threshold where the signal drops out altogether, in a very filthy nasty way at the edge. then press the 'lightning' switch and the tone goes out of this world. barely controllable, but controllable with some time + play... fuzz is multiplied, and a kind of self oscillating ring modulation is applied. FUZZ WRATH and SPUTTER controls are very interactive & dependant upon one another when this thing is fully 'lightning bolt' engaged - ring mod frequency can be swept with combo of knobs. So for my application - where i want an additional step into gainsanity after the amp is maxed (mostly for solos) - this thing is beyond perfect. Real well built. white LED is cool, wish it had an LED indication for the lightning bolt switch(it does not). This is sort of what I'd hoped my Snarling Dogs Mold Spore was going to be I bought a few years ago... that never lived up to it, and this is what I've been looking for. I belive it works fantasically in the traditional FUZZ sense too - two gain stages + linear gain control, high end boost switch, smooth fuzz - I just don't use it that way. yet.

Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
this thing generates some killer sounds but you really need to play around with it and dial in what you want ahead of time. unless I'm using this wrong I would not change anything during a live performance on this (ie: kicking the lightning bolts when you have dialed it in with that off) unless I've tried it many times before. It can be a little "screamy" and unpredictable. On the other hand, when this is dialed in there is not much that can match the sound. very cool effect
Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
Anyone looking for a fuzz pedal should consider this work of art. Its great for fans of any artist who uses any kind of fuzz, from Muse to Jack White to Hendrix.
Having a switch for humbuckers or single coils is great, as well as the switch for doubling the gain. The Wrath knob can add a whole new level too your sound, and id great for messy, Hendrix-y playing. It also adds ridiculous sustain, and is fun to play around with just by itself. All these features are great, but I think the Sputter knob outshines them all. With it you can go from a smooth, modern fuzz, to a vintage, sputtery, Jack White fuzz. It makes this pedal very versatile.
Can tell it has some top-quality components. Sturdy switches and casing as well. Heck, even the little toggle switched are sturdy.
It is a lot of money, but its well worth it.

I tried this out through a Blackstar amp at low volume on the clean channel, and this blew me away. If you want the full-on speed/early black metal distortion, you will not be dissapointed.I highly suggest getting it as a standalone product.
Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
Man, what a great pedal. I play guitar in an indie rock/shoegaze band and this pedal has some great fuzz tones. And thanks to the sputter control and the internal trim pot you can get a very wide range of sounds out of this thing. Add a delay and you're in wall of fuzz heaven. And then the footswitch for oscillations? Songs have been inspired and written because I can use that feature. Pretty incredible. I've used a Dr. Scientist Frazz Dazzler, several Devi Ever units, and a Mellowtone Glitch Computer in the way of over the top fuzz units, and this wins out, simply because of the versatility with the normal side and the oscillating side. If you need a huge wall of fuzz, that, with a footswitch can be turned into ultimate chaos, buy this pedal. You won't be dissappointed.
Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
This pedal was a blind buy form me over the Christmas season, based solely on the RedWitch reputaion and assorted online reviews and I present you with yet another extremely positive review. This pedal (best used in front of a clean amp) is highly reactive and touch sensive. The effect cleans up well with the volume knob of the guitar and ALL switches and knobs work and directly affect the tone. The use of a silicon diode makes this pedal highly reliable and consistant. Just plug in, set it and bring the rock. The FuzzGod makes it that easy.
Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
First and foremost, let me state that I own a large collection of effects pedals (many of them being distortion and fuzz-based), and have played through even more. I got this a month ago, and let me tell you, the Red Witch Fuzz God II is by far the best fuzz pedal I have ever played. I cannot recommend it enough, it is simply fantastic. My only (read: ONLY) complaint about it is that it is a bit pricey (hence the value receiving a 4.5 instead of a 5), but you definitely get what you pay for. It's so insanely interactive... Anyone who is serious about playing through a QUALITY fuzz pedal should consider this. It can go from The Kinks to Hendrix to Sleep and beyond in a matter of a few switch-flips and knob-turns. The "wrath" control is outstandingly weird, and is something you won't find elsewhere. The "sputter" control is a nice way to mold your tone, and it works as a noise gate when you turn it town around 1/4th.If you are looking for a fantastic fuzz pedal without gimmicks, GET THIS THING.
Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
Within the first half hour of playing this I packed it back up and returned it. It is just a distortion pedal not a real fuzz in my opinion. What a waste! When I played the fZ-5 I was more impressed! Don't waste your money on this. get a fender blender for less!
Comments about Red Witch Fuzz God II Effect Pedal:
I am not a pedal snob but I'm certainly always looking for that elusive tone and usually unafraid to pay a little for it. I've got a FoxxTone, various fuzz(germanium and silicon), and plenty of other toys. This pedal makes everything else look like a one-trick pony and complete wastes of money. To think of the money I could have saved! This pedal does not have the greatest fuzz sound for my taste, being a little scooped and heavy. Although not an "every-down pedal", this baby does the standard fuzz and then some. The double fuzz switch really gives the player some nice options. I run a TV Yellow Les Paul through a Bassman LTD and this baby gives me some wonderfully malicious sounding break-up at quiet volumes. I really like being able to dial up a sound that is clean and fuzzy around the edges or just all out crazy. This pedal does everything better in one!
