Killer all-tube tone and rugged build.

Rivera Amplifiers are legendary not only for some of the best tone on the planet, but also for rugged construction and long life. The Clubster puts 45W of EL-34 power through a 12" Celestion Seventy/80 speaker. The amp uses two 12AX7 preamp tubes - reliable and easily accessible for service. Built with a full plywood cabinet, welded zinc-plated steel chassis, audiophile-quality components, and military-grade construction. Comes with a footswitchable Accutronics 3-spring mechanical reverb and a 2-function footswitch.

Around back, an effects patch loop is provided along with an external speaker jack and a line output for recording or P.A. feeds. The power cord is detachable and easy to replace.

Clubsters have two completely independent preamp channels, each with its own EQ. section. Channel 1 is a high-gain channel with 3-band EQ and a switchable gain boost, and Channel 2 is a clean channel with 2-band EQ and enough gain and headroom to overdrive the power amp when needed—or keep it sparkly clean.

Dialing up clean and distortion tones has never been easier. From Mississippi Delta Blues to Birmingham Steel Rock to Nashville Clean, your tone is home with the Clubster amp.

The Clubster is a professional amp suitable for serious working musicians, yet it is quite affordable. Casuals like a wedding or party could not be any easier, due to the compact size, low weight, and abundance of fine tone.

For recording, Clubsters do the job well. Utilizing good miking technique in recording situations, this small package of excellent tone will lay down great sounding tracks. You can also use the Clubster to power an external Rivera 412 cabinet, allowing you to record stack sounds easily.

Nice Amp

By William Perry

from Los Angeles

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

Overall, the only problem that I have with it is that it is noisy, not really noisy, but more hum than I would wish. It is not apparent on the gig, but at home. The other is the weight and I don't think you can get this sound and quality at a lighter weight. Oh, you solid state jazz guys believe you do, but I'm just a tube guy. Great amp.
Simple amp, I sure that others have covered the features. I ONLY use the clean channel. I'm looking for a warm jazz sound. I think that this amp is less colored then Fender amps that I have used for years. Has lots of clean, warm headroom. Reverb is great.
Very high quality, very sturdy. And, that makes it heavy. What can you do? For 45 watts it is lighter than most.
Rivera amps to me are on the expensive side. Believe me, if I could have found this tone and quality for less, I'm there. I've probable owned over 30 tube amps and this is the only one I use. Now for you boutique guys, it is on the inexpensive side.

Solid

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

I've owned this amp for about a year now and I really love it. The clean side is like a Fender Twin but with the quality and clarity that I had WISHED the Twin had. The cleans are superb in every way and I feel like I own a high-end Fender amp.I just keep coming back to quality when I talk about this amp. It is built so rugged and to perfection. It was a chunk of change to drop to buy it but I'm reminded of what a high end product I own every time I play a few notes after I turn it on. I see myself holding onto this amp for a long time where-as I have grown dissatisfied with other amps that I've owned within a couple of month's time. I have my Clubster 45 and a Peavey Classic 30 and I'm good to go between those two amps.

Rivera Clubster 45 Watt 1x12 Combo Amp

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

The Clubster is a great amp, it has all the bells and whistles you need. It's very solid built it has an effects patch in the back. You can also easily use it for recording You can plug in an extra cab. And while you do have to pull the knob to get the extra high gain channel once you do its usable through the foot switch then. The foot switch then switches between high and low channel, one and two and also turns off and on the reverb. I had forgotten to address this in my first initial review. I own this amp and it is an excellent amp very well thought out. Only two 12AX7 pre amp tubes to worry about and two EL 34 power tubes. Lightweight for a 1X12 combo. This amp is loud with plenty of clean head room and runs very cool. Has great tone at a great price.

Riviera Clubster 45 Watt 1x12

By Anonymous

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

I've played for over 37 years and I collect amps and guitars. I have several to compare this with and while I won't mention names it can hold its own with the best. It's unique in tone and it stays clean with plenty of headroom. It has excellent overdrive. I love the EL 34's because there's so many choices in tubes and you can get many different results in tone with your choices. The price is right and the quality shows. The amp is very ruggedly designed and if treated with respect will be around for decades. I would definitely recommend this amp to one of my friends. This is one of the best combos ever made. It's a well built USA made amp.

Great amp missing some features

By Roadapple

from Salt Lake City, UT

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

Great tone, plenty of volume. Very solidly built, as are all Riveras. One question though....Why someone would build an amp that sounds this good and then not include foot switchable boost is a mystery. The boost sounds great, but you have to pull a knob out to use it??? Duhhhhh...Rivera already makes the footswitch, why not wire it up? CRAZY thing to do to save $5! You can switch the reverb, a function that is rarely used by any guitar players. They either leave it on or don't use it. Overall, a great buy for the money. This amp flat out rocks. One suggestion... Don't expect a cheap guitar to sound good through this amp. It will sound cheap. But plug in a good quality guitar and it will SING! Great sustain, throaty, punchy...

Rivera Clubster 45

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

Excellent amp equipped w/ EL34's and a 12" Celestion. Two independent channels w/ independent EQ's. Extremely well built. 12" Speaker. This amp has a lot of great tones and a very nice gain channel which is great for classic rock. The only thing I wish it had is a footswitch button for the boost. You have to manually pull the knob. In summary, a high-quality, great sounding & light-weight amp that has got me eyeing Riveras now. You can't go wrong with this amp.

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

I have owned this amp for about a year and after a crate v50 and a fender twin I found a keeper with the rivera clubster. It is as clean an amp as you could ask for with plenty of head room for a 45 watter. The "dirty" side is ok but I play mostly thru the clean side. It is great for a moderate size venue without having to mic. I wouldn't hesitate to by another or to recommend it to a friend.

Great Amp! Great Value!

By MrJonesey

Comments about Rivera Clubster 45W 1x12 Combo Amp:

I bought mine about a year ago. I wanted a Marshall combo at about the same price range, but was turned off when I read about the fan noise issue. When I plugged in I was asolutely blown away. I couldn't believe I could get an amp this nice for the price. My buddy who plays a Fender is also very jealous. The only problem is that it doesn't come with a cover. I accidently damaged the volume knob while transprting it to a buddy's house to jam. Rivera backed their product 100% and I only had to pay for the service. It also doesn't come with an owners manual and the only packaging was a piece of cardboard on top with recommended settings. But the money tehy save on the little extras make it more than worth it for the pass along price.By the way, there are a couple of cool sites on-line which offer some additional recommended settings and info.It has an absolutely incredible tone. I have not experienced gear envy with anyone I have performed with.
