Tube-driven warmth, detail, and harmonics!
Designed with Nashville fingerpicking legend Doyle Dykes to handle the nuances of acoustic guitar. 5 - 12AX7 preamp tubes shape 2 full discrete channels of warm tone, while 2 EL-34 power tubes push out 55W to the 12" JBL woofer and single high-power dome tweeter. Channel 1 is designed to produce optimum electric tones, clean or distorted. Channel 2 is tailored for electric or acoustic instruments. Each channel has its own independent 3-band EQ, and the tweeter can be switched on or off to reproduce an acoustic instrument's sparkling harmonics on demand. The anti-feedback equalizer tunes out unwanted noise. Reverb has never sounded sweeter, thanks to the long-pan, 6-spring Accutronics reverb.
The rear-panel tube direct box output includes a level control and pull switch for ground lift. It sends only the instrument's signal through an all-tube, low-impedance, balanced XLR output. The active effects loop has level controls for matching any outboard signal processor to optimize tone and minimize noise. Cabinet is built of hardwood plywood and finished in a buckskin brown Tolex, with 3-tone brown grille cloth, nickel corners, and leatherette handle on top. The ES-balanced XLR input option is for use with the Taylor ES system. FS-7 footswitch included.

After spending over a year in search of an acoustic amp for my Taylor T5 and 314CE, I finally happened upon the Rivera Sedona. Unfortunately, none of the local stores carry this amp. Every internet review of this amp gave it accolades for its sound. Now, I see why. The amp works equally well with both electric and acoustic guitars - I bought the ES version. Channel 1 does a very nice job with electrics and acoustics alike. Channel 2 works extremely well with any acoustic I toss at it - from Takamine to Yamaha or Taylor. The voicing on this amp is different from my Mesa Lonestar 212 and Peavey Vk112. I have had some problems with noisy 12AX7 tubes in this amp. I had to replace the reverb tube shortly after purchase due to a static-type noise. A second tube began doing the same thing, but a reseat appears to have fixed it. The amp is heavy, as some others have mentioned. No cover or instructions are included in the box, which I found a little odd. Mesa includes both with their amps. If you can afford it, this is definitely an amp to consider - it does what Rivera claims and does it well.

This is a great quality acoustic guitar amplifier no doubts about it, but the problem is that this darn thing weights way too much to be carrying around, specially if it doesn't comes with wheels to roll it out! But the sound is superb!

I play acoustic, electric solid body, electric arch top, & classical. This amp handles all of them very well. Wonderful overtones, Love it. Just wish it was 20lbs lighter!
