The Rocktron Cottonmouth Fuzz, a wild new fuzz box with flashing blue eyes and classic transistor fuzz fever. This beauty will bring psychedelic auditory stimulation syndrome to your guitar sound with a tone that is distinctly Rocktron.
Part of the Rocktron Boutique Series of stomp boxes this pedal design comes in a rugged metal chassis with eye popping retro custom design laser etched artwork. This is a TRUE BYPASS pedal: when you turn it off…it is out of your signal path.
Control knobs for the Cottonmouth Fuzz include BITE which controls the amount of pre-drive applied to the transistor fuzz engine. SPIT controls fuzz audio ON duty cycle time (or the spitting effect). STRIKE controls the fuzz attack time. VENOM controls the fuzz sustain time. LEVEL controls the fuzz output level. In fact, when the BITE control is turned up, the snake eyes react to your playing dynamics adding LED clipping and compression.
The Cottonmouth Fuzz will rock your world and bring you a wild new fuzz box that you can’t resist.
The footswitch on the Cottonmouth Fuzz controls On/Off status (indicated by the LED). This stomp box runs on a 9V Alkaline battery. You may also use the Rocktron DC OnTap Universal Power Adaptor (see our sku# 158004).

I don't know why this isn't a more popular pedal - it's fantastic! This pedal can emulate almost any fuzz with a little work, and if you aren't afraid to turn a few knobs (8 in all) - you can create some totally unique, and otherworldly sounds!
I've got this pedal running through the effects loop of my Rocktron Utopia 300 (with an additional Utopia expression pedal) and I can create sounds with this combination I simply can't emulate with any of my other rigs.
The fuzz and tone variations you can create with this pedal are downright impressive. Yes they took the whole snake thing a bit too far (Bite, Spit, Strike, Venom), and the blue LEDs on the snake's head may look a little cheesy - but they too serve a useful purpose (LED clipping and compression). There are so many things you can do with those 8 (3 concentric) knobs; Low, Spit (fuzz cycling), Mid, Strike (attack), High, Venom (sustain), Level, Bite (drive)- it's a highly interactive fuzz, overdrive, distortion, and EQ pedal in one! Did I mention true bypass? Once you figure out the interactivity of this serpent's knobs - you'll thank me for this review!
