Rocktron tremelo - I like this thing's vibe. It's easy to dial in vintage tube amp warble & throb as well as the new age choppy freak-out stuff like Pink Floyd. Good usable sweep range on the controls, bypass sounds true. Great value, built tough. I've been abusing it about a month now with no problems or regrets.
It looks like i got a lemon. I plugged the thing into my FX chain and gave it a whirl and it gave me terrible static. It sounds like the standard hum of low quality electronics except, being a tremolo pedal, the static swells with each volume swell. I've lived with noisy pedals because the sound otherwise was good but this thing is unacceptable. The background noise pulsates along with the effect loud enough to be extremely annoying any time sound is not coming out of your guitar. I did the standard isolation test with two known good cables and only this pedal but it did not go away. I'm dissapointed because it works very well otherwise. Also, the "FX on" light pulsates at the same rate as the FX speed. Very annoying. This ones getting returned and it might be a while before the rocktron brand shows up on my board again.
Great pedal, works good in clean, but switch to the distortion on the amp and even with the knobs on full there is no sound of the pedal even beingactivated until the notes decay
