Got some hiss? HUSH it up with this pedal.

You asked, and now you receive. The Rocktron Reaction HUSH noise reduction pedal, when used properly, wipes out hiss, unwanted feedback and pickup buzz. The Reaction HUSH delivers 65dB of signal cleanup, while your music signal integrity remains unaffected. In other words, you get rid of the noise without altering your tone.

Rocktron's Reaction Series effects pedals are built into a rugged metal slim form factor chassis, taking up as little space as possible on your pedalboard. The Reaction HUSH is a true bypass pedal: when you turn it off—it is out of your signal path.

Plug the Rocktron Reaction HUSH in after distortion boxes, wahs, noisy vintage effects, or other noisy units and turn the THRESHOLD control knob until the noise goes away. It's that easy. Unlike noise "gates" that chop off the end of your notes, or ruin your sustain, the Reaction HUSH is actually a form of single-ended noise reduction that tracks your signal all the way and pushes the noise floor down below the point where your ear can hear the noise. The Reaction HUSH will not alter your sustain or chop the end of your notes. Simply use the Threshold knob to smooth out your signal while saying goodbye to noise forever.

Here's more HUSH tips: For maximum noise reduction results, place the Reaction HUSH after your distortion and modulation effects (chorus, flanger, phaser, etc.) but before any delay or reverb effects. If you are already comfortable rolling back your guitar's volume pot, simply turn your distortion and other effects in the chain before the HUSH to "on", roll back your volume pot, adjust the HUSH Threshold control to remove any hiss you hear, and you are ready to go.

Make sure you pay attention to the proper setup by placing the Reaction HUSH AFTER your noisy stompboxes or in your amp's effects loop. The Reaction HUSH is NOT designed to take the input directly from your guitar without some processing happening between the guitar and the noise reduction. When setup correctly, with your signal going from your preamp and effects, or from your distortion and effects, into the Reaction HUSH, you will love how it cleans up the excess noise, including pickup buzz. The Reaction HUSH can also be used in your amplifier's effects loop. However, if you are running multiple effects through this loop, the HUSH should always be the last dynamic device in the signal chain, but before digital delays or reverbs.

The Rocktron Reaction HUSH will give you the same great HUSH noise reduction used by thousands of high profile artists for years. Add true bypass and the Reaction HUSH becomes a great addition to any pedalboard.

The footswitch on the Reaction HUSH controls On/Off status as shown by the LED indicator. Reaction stomp boxes run on a 9V Alkaline battery, or may also be powered by Rocktron's DC OnTap Universal Power Supply adapter.

    find your spot

    By Steve-gIEwJ

Comments about Rocktron Reaction HUSH Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal:

need to find the right spot in your pedal chain. ran my tube pedal, distortion, and flanger before this pedal. with the threshold adjusted to get rid of distortion hum this pedal really cut down on my flanger. Had to find spot on threshold dial to "minimize" hum and let the flange effect come through. Now I'm happy.
not many features, which I like. keep it simple always works for me.
    solid, all rocktron products are.
does what it should for low cost.

    lack of option

    By Mikey Valentine

    from California

Comments about Rocktron Reaction HUSH Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal:

Since aquiring this about 8 months ago this pedal has given me some problems. The first thing is that it does not have any other options, in terms of knobs, such as level or gate. so you are limited to what the threshold knob will allow you to change/cancel out . unlike other noise suppressors you are very limited in what you are suppressing. This thing tends to kill your tone more than it will save you from bad guitar hum. secondly the actual pedal that you press on, on mine stopped working a few months after I got it so I had to remove the pedal face itself so i can turn it on and off, i found out after removing it that the reason for it not working was that it was not a button persay but a metal trigger that turns on the pedal. Also the jacks on both sides are very loose so i had to use tape to keep my cables from falling out of them. All in all this pedal is not worth the money you pay for it. It sure looks cool and has some awesome white leds that turn on when it is on and built to withstand a good fall down a lot of stairs, but it kills your sound. My personal opinion would be that for a garge/basement player it will work just fine and will do what you need it to do, but for a professional gig player find another pedal to look at.

Rocktron Reaction HUSH Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal

    By simtde

    from Texas

Comments about Rocktron Reaction HUSH Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal:

I use this pedal in my effects loop after a Digitech RP500 just to pull out any digital wierdness from the modualion and reverb stages that come after the noise gate on the processor. It works well for this but by itself it doesn't really cut it. It can pull all the hiss and hum out of a signal but you have to pretty much turn it all the way up to get everything. Unfortunately at around 80% there is a huge volume drop. This why an attenuator would be nice, if you could set the threshold lower and cut everything beneath it completely it would be a lot more effective. I don't regret buying it but for the money I'd get the MXR Noise Clamp.
The control knob on the Reaction is pretty sensitive so thats good especially in a noise gate but it would have been nice to have attenuation control as well.
Its well built and seems durable but I've only had mine a few months.
Not even close to the best thing out there but worth the asking price.

    Does the job well!

    By gravydb

    from PA

Comments about Rocktron Reaction HUSH Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have this pedal located in the effects loop of my amp. If you have it located before the amp input, it'll do a great job decreasing the noise generated by your guitar & pedals but will not stop the noise your amp makes. The amp's effect loop (if you have one) is the best way to place this pedal as far downstream as possible. In my setup, delay and reverb occur AFTER the noise reduction, which is generally recommended.I am very happy with this pedal. With my particular setup, I have to turn up the threshold almost all the way in order get sufficient noise reduction, but it works perfectly. I highly recommend it.

    Works Great!

    By MannyBlue65-lfsdw

    from Los Angeles

Comments about Rocktron Reaction HUSH Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal:

I needed a pedal to wipe out the unwanted hiss that I was getting and this pedal did the job. It is built rock-solid and easy to use. Just turn the single control knob until the noise goes away. The guy who commented before me saying that this did not take away the hiss is using the pedal wrong. The chain should be guitar, tuner, wah, distortion, chorus, phaser, flanger, Reaction HUSH Pedal, delay, reverb, into a clean amp setting.
