Sorry this will be the first negative comment I have in over 10 yrs. doing business with MF. But the contacts on my foot switch along with the battery were fully corroded. Switch works fine. But product seems to be exposed to maybe the acid in the fully wrapped battery. The Led's seem to work in the opposite fashion on my Night Train 50. On when not in use, and off when triggered.

Definitely need the pedals to switch the effects on and off.Get the VFS1 pedal to switch the clean and distortion channels unless you like to stop and push buttons on the face plates. You need a stereo cable for theS2 and a regular cable for the S1. They appear to be very durable and are lighted (nice touch 9v batteries included)Once again Thanks Musicians Friend.
