I bought this amp from Scratch & Dent. I previously read all the reviews and thought it would be a good Keyboard Amp. I would not of bought it for Bass. I feel it is a great Keyboard amp. I will not will not turn it up past 3 to 4 due to distortion. It will probaly handle 4.5 on Bass. It is comparable to about 50 watt amp. I use it for Keyboards and I mike it through the PA. It is plenty loud but I have a $1500.00 PA system that helps. I would use this amp for Keyboards to play Concert halls because I would be miking it through a PA. For Keyboards it works great at low volums like 50 watts because my keyboard will drown out the bass player and also has a tweeter for highs. I recomend buying this Amp over spending more money if you are looking for a 50 watt amp. The price you can't beat and is has 15 and a horn. I hope this helps others out. Time to Rock.

Owned amp since April 2003 and did not have much opportunity to use it much until September 2003 when I began to use it consistently for rehearsal about twice per week. With 12-15 days to go on the 1-year warranty, it blew. I have returned it at my shipping expense and will expect it returned to my door in 10 days.Otherwise, the RB120BT is a solid and powerful amp without the unnecessary bells and whistles. I have been using this amp with a Mexican-made Fender Precision Bass and performing with a 4-person rock band. The cabinet itself is heavy-duty and carpeted and I never felt I needed to be gentle when moving this amp.My only criticisms are that there is no ground switch to reduce noise and the protective speaker grill is plastic or vinyl.

    Decent for the price

    By Grasshopper-8YJBn

    from Dinwiddie, VA

I had read a lot of reviews online on this amp and I bought it anyway. My daughter and I have been playing on this combo since Christmas 2003 and so far, it has been great. There is a little hum at higher volumes (may be the bass though). Lots of power for a low price.

Sounds good and is loud and is awsome...don't let the price keep you from buying it cause it really isn't that cheap...the other brands just rip you off and make you pay too much

    Patience

    By BASS SOLDIER

    from Chehalis, Wa

The first one of these amps that I bought blew up after 6 hours of modest play. However after the warranty replaced it the second amp has been indestructable. It seems the more I play it the better the sound gets. If you want a deep rich low this is a good amp, but be patient it takes a while to break in. Killer in the drop D!!!!!!!!!! Good in the garage, great for practice. Not an amp that I would use to play shows but it is not a bad amp and for the price you can't beat it.

The RB-120BT--great value for the $$$

    By ShadowfaxMusic

    from Louisville, KY

I purchased this amp a couple of weeks ago, and I've got to say--for the price, you can't beat it. I use a Gibson EB-0 and a Danelectro DC, and they both sound great. Frankly, it reminds me (a LOT) of the Peavey TKO-115--it wouldn't surprise me if it was made for MF by Peavey. In short, if you're looking for an amp to practice with the guys (or gals) or to play in small venues (clubs, bars, etc), this one provides great sound and packs a punch. *****

    medium range amp

    By Sonny7730

    from Grand Haven, Mi

a good amp, but if driven too far, it gets muddy. it's great for a behind the scenes bassist, but for a frontman bassist, might not have the power. can handle higher notes pretty well.
