I have had this amp for about 6 months and couldn't be happier. For the price, which is dirt cheap you cant find a better deal. It's hard to find an amp that size at a working mans price. Any way, as for the features, it really dosent have many but thats what you paid for. If you want better tone buy a high dollar bass and keep practicing. The tone dosent come from the amp, it only amplifies the tone you send it. It is definetly capable of playing small gigs, but if your band is very loud and usues heavy distortion you will most likely be drowned out (its the same for all amps that size). You may need to look for a larger amp. I play in a jam band (funk, blues, rock, and what ever else) the rb 60 does the trick no problem. Overall, for the price and category awesome. It does lack the extra gadgets but thats all relative to playing ability and musical taste.

My dad got this amp for my sister for Christmas. After she lost interest, I started playing with it. It has a terrible feel to it. You have to get the settings just right for it not to sound staticy, leaving little room for customization. It's hard to get the sound you want, and there's no tone to your bass sound, its very flat. The one good thing I have noticed in this amp is that it can get very loud, especially for a 60W. Overall though, I would not recommend you buy this amp.

Excellent Hartke knockoff for the money!

Ask me a question

Most people don't know that the Chinese are making most of the amps in this price range nowadays. Peavey, Epiphone, Behringer. But this one is very similar to a comparable Hartke kickback about 1/3 of the price. Of course it's very basic, if you know what you're doing you can get a great tone out of this guy. Plus, it's loud and I like the way it kicks back and the knobs are up front where you can see what you can do. Great value, don't expect this to compete with loud guitarist maniacs running a 4-12 cab and 100 watt head, this is good in the garage or a small band that plays small gigs. Good value for the money!

Great bass

By Dr. Killjoy

from Meridian, ID

This bass is great for the price you pay. It was louder than I thought it would be and it holds up great to all my jamming I do. It can be fuzzy and sound like junk for a bit until you get it all in the right tunings and such but overall it is great and is loud.

Eh

You get what you pay for with the Rogue RB60. It is an inexpensive amp with a fair amount of power,(it gets loud enough to play with someone wailing on the drums) But the tone shaping controls just are not that good The Rogue RB60 just gives a punchy toneless thump.

I've used this amp a couple of times and men am I satidfied. This thing is blasting, this will rock the house. I have no complaints thus far. I would recommend this amp to anyone who is on a budget but still want that solid bass-line thumping. Mmmm... I hope it last.

There are better options!

By Dr. JBass

from San Juan, PR

I owned this amp for six months or so! I thought it would be an excellent option to practicing at home with my five-string J Bass. However, lacked punch and depth for such a powerful bass. I sold it out and bought me a SWR of 120 watts for twice the price at MF. Now I am fully satisfied- and my wife does not get annoyed. I can play my instruments with little volume and 3X the punch, especially with the lower end notes!

I had the 120 watt model of this amp for about a year..it worked alright...but one day...i just quit...never to sing again...not sure what happened...but i just went out and spent the extra 100 bucks for an SWR 60 watt..just as loud, but no distortion...i reccomend that over all...

Good Price, Decent Amp

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I have had this amp for a year now and when i first got it, i was amazed and thought it was the best thing ever. It was loud, had decent tone out of my P-bass and i was happy. I started playing with a band and the RB60 started to show that it really isn't capable of playing the "small gig". It is only a 60 watt 12" combo and it does a pretty good job for what it is. It works well if your in a band and you only play with your guitarist. But once you add drums, this thing needs to be miced bad! - Great for home practice, but not a gig amp! Now that i'm getting serious its time for an Ampeg 4X10 cabinet & head.

Good Amp, Great Price!

By JustifiedbyOne-mOdmQ

I am very pleased at the quality and the value of the Rogue RB60 60 watt Bass combo amp. I purchased it to use for practice at my house. I own a Peavey TKO Bass amp that I keep at the church, and although the Rogue doesn't quite have the sound of the Peavey, it will hold it's own in a smaller area. For the price, you can't beat this amp!
