This amp performs much better than i expected for a no name. It gets a huge amount of thick, full, complex sound without any additional hum or crackling. I usually play through the clean channel with a digitech grunge pedal or a big muff. The distortion channel sounds muddy, and you can never really get a good crunch. but that's to be expected on a non-marshal combo amp. It sounds great clean, no complaints there. I do not care for the built in reverb, but I think it's just because it's digital. I can almost hear the bad sampling going on. I have to say that through my digitech, with the mid turned all the way down and the treb and bass all the way up, this thing actually gives off a nice tone that is all it's own. I never expected so much from it. I plan to use it to record soon. If you desire a combo amp that you can feel with your body and shake the floors, this is a good choice. Haven't giged out with it yet, but it would be appropriate for a small bar or coffeyhouse.

I got this amp hoping I could get a nice loud clean sound. It sounds like 20 watts coming through the clean channel. I got a 50 watt solid state Marshall and Dean amp. Also a 25 watt Fender Frontman. All three of these amps are much louder and clean before distorting in the Clean channel. Maybe, I got a bad one. Everything else works fine. In fact, the distortion channel sounds good and can get real loud. I've tried the low and high inputs and adjusted the gains, but the clean channel overdrives too easily. This amp has a tight sound, not much warmth. The reverb isn't too good, especially for a spring. I know Rogue isn't the best and the price is low, but come on, this amp is heavy and should produce a loud full clean sound for 65 watts.

    Best amp iv ever had

    By rocker912

Iv had this amp now for about a year and its never let me down. I like to play it loud and hard. This amp has all the features you'll ever need. I have a digitec rp50 hooked up to it and it sounds like professinal quality.

    Good/Bad Amp

    By punkrocker182

I guess first the good news, this amp is a good practice amp and its good with distortion pedals and the clean channel is good and it has a headphone jack, but the bad news is that if your in a band I would recommend you not to get it because your not heard over the drums that well because if you try to turn it up the volume really loud, its hard to make it sound good and I've had this amp for about 5 months and it sounds really bad when I turn it up loud I mean I just played at a party with my band about 4 days ago and I had to use the amp and I wasn't heard that well over the drums and I was getting feedback and the other guitarist in my band was louder then me on his 15 watt crate amp so something is wrong with this amp and its not my guitar because I just bought a fender stratocaster.

    Sick

This amp is preety good. It has great sound and is pretty loud. I play this when I Jam with my band and it is good. The only thing is that when I set it down on the floor/carpet it sounds like something fell off but it still plays good. Check out my band on myspace "Far From the Tree" I used the amp for the songs on it.

great deal for a great amp

    By Andy Collins

I own several things from Rouge and have never been let down in fact it has always been an unexpected suprise for the money! So when this baby went on sale I snapped it up. I play every form of music there is and I don,t need a modling amp( I prefer peadals). I use this in gigs and at my Churches worship services and it blows the other guitarists line6 away at the same watts. It really shines through the clean channel and if you are like me and use out side effects you can not go wrong. I read some other reviews about the lack of loudness? I have never had to turn my volume knob past 1/2. Play with the gain and you can get so much out of this amp. Another Rouge triumph as far as I am concerned. Thanks MF

Great value if you don't have a big budget...

    By Strat Lover-y9ngI

I just recently purchased this amp, and I was excited when I pulled it out of the box! It's good sized, sounds awesome in my garage, sucker gets pretty loud...then I took it to my drummer and played with it...we play heavy metal, particularly metalcore and speed metal, so it's important to be able to hear every note when I shred...I had to turn both the clean and the master volume all the way to 10 just to hear over the drums(I use a Zoom 505 effects pedal)...and the built in distortion, eh, it's good if you like Led Zeppelin or bluesy type stuff, but if you need that really saturated, thick metal sound, the distortion is useless...other than that I'm pretty happy with the tone...bottom line, if you don't have much money, this is an awesome amp, but if you do have extra money, definitely spend it on something a little higher end, unless you're strictly classic rock, than this amp is the best!!!

    THE 65 Watter!!!!

By Shifty Lead Guitarist of Painted

This amp has power. I am really thinking about buying it yes it may be a off-brand but IT IS POWERFUL. This big baby will whale as long as you dont over do it. My friend has one and we put it up to 65 and BLEW OUT THE WINDOWS. I would recommend this amp for Moderate School Gigs or Bar Gigs. A++++.

Great amp...as good as my comparable Fender.

A really good amp in every respect. Also, a smooth reverb. Easily worth three times the price if not more!

Not Much Power In Clean Channel

A Wonderful perchase for a great price! I just have the problem that it always makes this humming noise but I think its because I have the distortion on. But then the reverb wouldnt work. I don't know if I have to have the pedal but it just wont work so I don't know but other than that it wonderful!
