OVERVIEW

A full-sounding addition to any guitar rig.

The Rogue Tremolo pedal creates a pulsating effect by varying the signal's volume in cycles, reminiscent of tremolos found in classic '60s amps.

Three control knobs let you quickly adjust the speed of the tremolo effect, its waveform and the depth of modulation. A true bypass switch engages and disengages the effect. An LED indicator shows you when the effect is engaged and gets dim when it's time to change the battery.

The Rogue Tremolo pedal is made of aluminum and built to last.

I like it. I didn't have a tremolo pedal on my board, so it was a great addition. The other reviews are correct, the depth knob does nothing until you get it at 12:00. From there, it's pretty sensitive. But the thing has no tone suck when it's off, and it really sounds good. It can go from a warm, soft pulse to a full-on stutter / chop. To my ears, there's a bit of a volume boost when it engages. That may be a perception thing though, as the sound is cutting in and out. Overall, if you're thinking of putting a trem pedal on your board for the first time, get this one. See if the trem sound works with your rig. If so, you can keep this little guy or step up. I'll probably always hang on to mine, even if I upgrade, just for a back-up. It sounds really good.

I was excited when I first got this pedal. It sounded great with no loss in sound, it looked great, and it takes up a small fingerprint on my effects peadalboard. It absolutely nails the Creedence - Born on the Bayou sound which I needed playing in a Classic Rock cover band. I run my effects (chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, and delay) through the effects loop of my MESA Express amps for the best sound with just a compressor, wah, tuner, and distortion going into the amps.

I was hesitant to buy a Rogue brand product and now I see the cause of my worry. It worked great until the switch broke at a gig. Luckily it broke when I switched it off so it wasn't stuck on and it was bypassed so there wasn't any loss in signal. I don't hit my pedals hard to turn them on and off and this one broke after less than a year of gigging a few times a month. My other MXR, BOSS, and Carl Martin pedals I've had for years are still working fine and I turn them on and off much more frequently than the Tremolo.

The only reason I bought it was the good reviews and I got mine on sale. For how cheap it was I just cut my losses and salvaged the knobs and washers and nuts for spare parts. I am now addicted to the tremolo sound so I've decided to try the Behringer Tremolo pedal because it's on clearance and I just need it for a few tunes. I'm sure that one will break eventually as well so I bought two to have one as a backup. If/when those break I will bite the bullet and pay for a higher priced tremolo.

I'd recommend this pedal for studio/home use but not for live performances.

I was after something to emulate my old Fender amp and this is better. However the Input/output jacks don't line up with the ones on my Boss and Ibenez pedals.

THis tremolo sounded pretty good in front of my HotRod DeVille. Quiet and nice trem.
However, it was very noisey in front of my solid state Fender (Princeton 65).

The pedal sounds very good and covers a wide range of sounds. The depth knob has no effect below the 12:00 position and is pretty sensitive beyond that.

Comments about Rogue Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I wanted to get a tremolo pedal with more versatility than the Joyo tremelo pedal I was using. While the Joyo has a really nice tone it can't do choppy square wave type tremolo. After reading reviews and watching videos I pulled the trigger on this Rogue tremolo pedal. I'm really happy with the purchase. It doesn't quite sound as warm or rich as the Joyo but it is so versatile with a huge range of settings from the three knobs: rate, depth and wave. I don't hear any noise when it's turned on and the true-bypass works well.

Comments about Rogue Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

I love this pedal - and it sounded good out of the box.

But something wasn't totally right so I put it up for about a year. But now I'm building a new pedalboard - so everything comes out - including this pedal.

I still had the same issues as before - so I hop online to look for mods - because every other pedal I have is modded to suit my needs - I looked for one for this.

Because it's based on an old Boss design it should sound great - but the wave and depth pots are reversed - so if you are capable of PCB unsoldering and resoldering just switch the wave and depth pots around - easy peasy - now the pedal sounds like it should. The probably do this intentially so they can sell Boss's design and not be sued for it.

This mod is documented on the web several times and I recommend it. It sounds better than a boutique pedal and I like it better than the original Fender circuit - this thing rocks.

I was gonna buy a Fulltone pedal but this one made the grade after "fixing" a simple issue.

After having used this pedal only once, I gave it a glowing review. It sounded wonderful! However, after only two days of very light usage, it went crazy and died. (Locoweed, maybe?) Musician's Friend, being an outstanding business, gladly exchanged it right away. Unfortunately, the replacement did the same. Rogue is known for manufacturing reasonably good products at a low price; this time, however, it did not work out that way. MF simply may have received a bad batch of tremolos, but I recommend waiting until Rogue can solve its quality-control issue before buying this product.

Comments about Rogue Tremolo Guitar Effects Pedal:

Not having a "whammy bar" on my Les Paul, I have been waiting a long time for this tremolo foot pedal to be back in stock at Musician's Friend; and now that it has shipped and I've received it, I can say that it's well worth the wait! This baby is easy to use, and it works like a charm. Besides its good initial functionality, I expect that it will last a long time due to its strong, all-metal housing. (Also, it comes in a sturdy travel box for protection on the go.) Count on Rogue to deliver high quality at a low cost. I enjoy the sound of my electric guitar immensely when I play it through this pedal, though when the tremolo is switched off, it's OFF! It has a true bypass when not in use, so that it will not distort the purity of the original sound in any manner if you don't want that. When in use, however, the Rogue lends a rich, listenable quality to a good guitar, comparable to that of a singer's gentle, well-controlled vibrato. (BTW, if a player really wants to create strange sounds, this tremolo can do "wacky," but it truly appears to be at its best with more subtle changes.) All in all, this is a great pedal, in terms of both value (price). . . and VALUE (usefulness)! Buy it, and enjoy.
