I own a plethora of guitar amps, solid state and hot glass. Because I have tinnitis (like way too many experienced musicians), I am forced to play most of them with earplugs. Even so, my ears often still hurt.

Enter the Rogue V15G, the worthy successor to the incredibly-underpriced Rogue S10 (which I also own and use in a separate location).

In the dark of the night, when my family and neighbors sleep, untroubled by my past-life demons, the quiet, tonally-faithful, string-responsive little Rogue lets me play like a free man, without pain and without earplugs. This unpretentious little amp represents, without a doubt, the most awesome value in the music industry today. Thank you, Musiciansfriend!

To improve upon ridiculously-affordable perfection, I swapped out the more-than-adequate stock speaker for an 8-ohm Pyle Pro 6.5" mid-bass driver to enhance the little guy's low frequency response. Unless you're monsterous about perfection, you can probably skip this step (laugh).

Bottom line: every serious electric guitarist NEEDS one of these for those special, private, creative moments. He/she also NEEDS state-of-the-art earplugs for the rest of the time. One either understand this or one does not.

Rock on!

Comments about Rogue V15G 15W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Do not be confused, this is not a 30 watt tube amp with twin twelves. Received amp for free when I purchased a lap steel for my wife. Decided to try it with a couple of my guitars...solid and hollow with p-90's. Thin tone, no bass," no ""air""", and useless distortion. Decided it might be worth a look see. Opened er up and surprise surprise, nice clean solid build wlth silly little ports in the baffle and room for improvement. Ordered an eight inch Jensen Mod 20, opened up the baffle, cut 3 three inch holes in the back below the chassis. WOW!!!! Max the bass, set mid and treble around 3,"and place 5-6"" away from a wall or backstop and WOW. Impressive", just might pass for a tube amp. Distortion in moderation and power chords sound awesome. Added a cheap Behringer reverb pedal and geetar bliss. No tubes but pure tone.
      Pretty basic...no reverb...questionable distortion...superior build quality.
Cabinet very well made, very neat, no rattles.
As purchased, nothing special except for the cabinet but, with a little TLC anda couple of bucks, well?

I bought this amp for use with my Fender Parlor CP100 that I got from MF. I installed an under saddle active piezo pickup that I got from Amazon. I play mostly in open D. This combo is amazing...I love it....Great amp...lots of volume.. great sound...

Comments about Rogue V15G 15W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Great little portable amp for vehicles, students, or dwellers in tiny spaces. You probably won't be happy with its OD alone, but gain on 10 plus an overdrive pedal produces more-than-adequate 'creamy lead tone'....just not loud enough to annoy the neighbors (much). The various guitars I play through it feature PAFs, Seymour Pearly Gates, Little '59 Tele HB, Carvin S60 SCs, and SuperDistortion HBs. Like I said: if your guitar has a good tone, this no-frills amp will accurately reproduce it....
It's a little one-channel solid state amp for cheap: 2 volumes w/ a switch for OD gain, 3 band EQ section, and a 1/4" 'headphone' jack. The headphone-out jack neither sounds, nor claims to be, cabinet-voiced. You could run another tiny cabinet with it, but what would be the point?---it bypasses its own speaker when you use the jack. You could line-out it to a PA, I suppose, but it would be just as simple to stick a unidirectional mike in front of it to the PA.
It is what it is: small and (apparantly) durable. Seems well-put-together, the treble/mid/bass knobs provide adequate means to highlight various frequencies for different inputs (humbucker/single-coil). I'll put it this way: this amp won't make your guitar sound 'better' at all. It's a linear, solid-state unit i.e. if your guitar has a good sound this amp will blurt out about 15watts worth of it....It badly needs a reverb, BTW, but maybe that's just me. Even a short analog delay helps. This amp suddenly sounds legit with a little reverb, and immediately suggests itself as something you could gig with through a PA. I put a Fulltone PlimSoul OD/distorto and a Boss RV-3 reverb/delay in front of it on 9v batteries, and it's actually 'stage-worthy' sound that you can throw in the trunk with a Tele or something. I bought mine for my RV!
It's more functional (and less of a 'novelty') than the tiny Fender tweed amps with 1" speakers that cost almost as much. Spend the same amount for a stomp-box reverb for it and you'll love it.

Comments about Rogue V15G 15W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this when it was cheap during the stupid deal of the day. I enjoy having a lot of amps around, and I figured even if it was terrible, it was still really cheap.

Luckily I didn't spend any more. It IS terrible. I don't need this amp and it's a good thing because will probably pull it out once a year, if that.

It's super quiet. I put it to ten to get a normal listening volume. The distortion on it is also unusably bad. Offensively bad.

Rogue isn't known for good products, they're known for cheap. This is definitely a Rogue product.

Comments about Rogue V15G 15W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought two of the Rogue V15Gs to amplify my Vox desktop Tonelab in stereo. What a hoot! I've jammed with a gentle-touch drummer and a keyboard player running through a bass amp in my home studio space and these good lookin' little tweed marvels kept up without issue. They sound decent for a low wattage amp on their own, but when I add the effects and amp modeling from the Tonelab, the V15Gs sound really nice. Having only 6.5" speakers, don't expect a lot of low-end presence. I find that keeping the high and mid tone controls at 12 o'clock and the bass control cranked all the way up rounds out the sound of my Telecaster nicely. The build quality is sketchy, as I had to return one that had a bad hum and it was replaced (without hassle) with another that played as expected but the cabinet back did not line up properly. It was acceptable, and for the money (I bought them both during a "Stupid Deal of the Day" sale) I let that fault slide. I've owned these amps for over a year now and they are still cranking away. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the purchase.

A nice sounding small amp. Does just what I want it to. The fit and finish on the one I received is excellent. The chrome plated metal corner protectors are a nice touch. I like the chicken head knobs also. For the money this amp is worth considering if you are looking for a simple, clean sound.

It is what it is. Nice little practice amp. I use it for recording in a very small studio and it works fine. I mainly bought because it was on Stupid deal of the day. There may be better 15 watt amps out there. If you're just starting out then you may want to consider this one for the price.
