Bought mine a little over a year ago. This is an amazing little cabinet and the last one I will ever need unless I have to play stadiums. I have been gigging for over 25 years, and have owned everything under the sun. This baby is loud and deep, and cuts like a knife through butter. And at 40 lbs, I can carry it with one hand! Combined with my Markbass LMII, it is not only a scary light rig, but loud and clear enough to play any club venue and be heard. If you want only a pillowy deep sound, than maybe this is not for you. But if punch is what youre looking for, this is the baby. With the duratuff coating, this is a sturdy well built cab. I have dropped it a few times with no effect at all.
I don't own it, but I'm giving it some serious thought after trying one in a shop. The sheer volume / size ration is impressive. Before writing this amp off, do yourself a favor and search for 1215L on the Talkbass forums. Lots of satisfied owners with many detailed accounts.
I am playing bass as a prof. for 15 years. Don't want to list all the stuff that I have owned but I used 34 basses and more then 15 amp rigs. 1215L has a great finish and look and this cabinet is very light...very very light!!! But not only in weight but in sound also. If you need a cabinet which you can carry with you everywhere and don't care about your sound go for it. I have a 15" cab rated at 320 watts and it is twice the massive sound, twice the loundness, twice the punch. This is not a 800 Watt cabinet at all. The specs are all lies. I will never go with a Schroeder again...never!
