If you are looking for a pedalboard for about 6-8 pedals for HOME USE only, so get it.i would change the stock adapter to a better one like 1 Spot. (It is daisy chain and not 8 power supply like voodo lab and so) The bag is a joke, thin, not protective and looks like the it won't carry the board with the pedals. Because I need it for gigs so i change it to Pedaltrain JR.
So as I said, only for home use.
As I said , the borad is cool. 8 cables from a power supply (daisy cahin), a massive but light board cover by a female clacro. BUT the bag is a joke. SKB are the bast case company in the world, they can do better with the case...
It can hold 1 wah pedal ( the vlacro cannot hold it, or you need the get something like Stompin. I planed to drill 4 holes and connect it with long shaft screws) and about 6 boss/Mxr type pedals
Again the board is cool. The bag is a joke. The power adapter didnt work! So i took it back and the store gave me a new one....I thought the if it Made In USA , at least they have a QC that check the power adapter before the ship it (it is a cheap chinees 500ma adapter). SKB give 5 years guarantee.

I bought this last spring and had issues immediately. If you are a beginner to expanding guitar effects, it's the perfect learner's device, but the sound quality is terrible and it's manufactured very sloppily. The first thing I noticed when I plugged it in to my Fender Deluxe Tube amp is that there was a high pitched buzzing that never goes away so long as your instrument is plugged into a pedal that's being powered by the pedal board. It's almost as though the circuitry is being picked up audibly by the tube amp. This makes recording Direct Input with this pedal board impossible. It sounds terrible. After that, one of the power sources just stopped working one day, the connection to the outlet only works if you plug the adapter in at a strange angle, and the carrying case's handle snapped while I was walking.Terrible product. Save an extra $100 dollars and buy a better version.

Comments about SKB PS-8 8-Port 9VDC Powered Pedalboard:
This pedal board is pretty straight forward. It's nice has a good design with the whole board being Velcro, and works just fine. With all the negative reviews, what do you expect? This pedal board is a good small size for someone who doesn't have too many pedals and the feature that powers the pedal built into it is great. It's a great pedal board for the standard home user, don't expect this to be road worthy.

Comments about SKB PS-8 8-Port 9VDC Powered Pedalboard:
I have had this pedal board for almost a year now. I gave it an average rating because it's, well... average. It will serve its purpose of housing pedals and allowing you to get your power supplies down to one source. There is some noise, especially if your wiring in your home isn't great. I had no problems, but I hve read that some people have had issues with noise. I did have to open it up and resolder the hot lead back into the power adapter jack. I went to engage my wah and the whole board went dead and came back on... I imagine if this wire was soldered poorly that there could be other issues with quality as well. If you're having power issues or noise - check the solering and make sure it's all solid. Could be a bad ground connection.
Anyway, like I said, it's a decent pedal board. The adhesive on the velcro doesn't stick to any of my pedals... The velcro is stronger than the adhesive. The inclusion of a 9v battery to 9v ac adapter cable was very nice!! I have a Sovtek Big Muf Pi that eats 9v batteris... not a problem anymore though.

Comments about SKB PS-8 8-Port 9VDC Powered Pedalboard:
this board is really great, and the power supply is awesome. It had no trouble powering up 8 pedals. It just had trouble housing 8 pedals! Would have also liked a harder case - like the ps45. I ended up trading it in for a PS45. Most guys will love and keep this board - esp if they have only a few pedals
Comments about SKB PS-8 8-Port 9VDC Powered Pedalboard:
Bad product from a quality company, simple as that.
Like someone else said, this board is just too noisy to use with anything other than bang around at-home solid state rigs. A fundamental lack of grounding somewhere.
The only thing worse would be if is actively caught fire.
You get what you pay for -- got mine for $40. Barely worth it as a surface to which I run OTHER power.

Very nice case - made in the USA!Not too big or too small - makes a great gig bag.Was disappointed with the poor quality of other cases by Gator "The Bone" Road Runner and ElectroHarmonics. This one does a good job at a good price.
Comments about SKB PS-8 8-Port 9VDC Powered Pedalboard:
First the good: Plenty of real estate on this thing. It is BIG. I guess this could be a negative as well. This thing easily holds 8 standard sized pedals or 6 and a wah. The electrical components seem to be pretty decent. Now the bad: The hook and loop material on the boar itself starts to fall apart as soon as you try to reposition the pedals with the industrial strength velcro tape. It also pulls away from the board. Very low quality fabric. The bag they give you absolutely sucks. Absolutely lame on the padding. Offers no real protection. I picked up the bag by the handle and the handle ripped right off of the bag. Called SKB and they sent me a new bag (good customer service but apparently the handle ripping off must not be uncommon). What I didn't notice until tonight is that when the board dropped to the ground after the handle broke, the board split open (the screw holes broke) from the impact. Horrible. Possible fixes (other than the cracking of the board which I guess I'll have to get some heavy duty glue to repair): Remove the fabric that they use to cover the board and replace it with some HEAVY DUTY indoor/outdoor carpeting from your bigblock hardware store. Next, buy some 2" thick foam rubber and line the bag with it to give the pedalboard some protection. Once you've done that, THEN you'll have a decent powered pedalboard. Of course, by then, you've added another $20 to $30 in materials onto the price of the thing just to get it to be IMHO the way it should have been built in the first place. In the sub $100 price point, there aren't many choices out there. I wish there were more options. I'm beginning to think that the best alternative is to make your own.
Comments about SKB PS-8 8-Port 9VDC Powered Pedalboard:
the design is nice, and the pedal board is a great value for what it is. i use 4 pedals including a wah, a tuner, an EQ pedal, and my amp channel switcher, and i also put my small wireless system on this board as well.the plastic is rugged, and the velcro holds up very nicely, however the power prong on jack fell out of the sleeve so i had to take the whole board apart and gorilla glue it back together. not a huge deal, since im pretty handy with stuff, but this actually happened to me before a gig, so thats a pretty big inconvenience to have to deal with on stage.the bag for it is pure garbage and is falling apart after about a months worth of gigs. the shoulder strap broke and i actually dropped it, and i think this is why the plastic that holds the power prong in the jack broke, but im not sure. luckily none of my pedals were damagedoverall i use it and i like it. the quality is ok, a few things are not made as well as it should but for 100 bucks, its a great value, just be careful with it if you buy it.
Comments about SKB PS-8 8-Port 9VDC Powered Pedalboard:
Where the power cord connects was the first thing to give problems. The strap on the outside case snapped and cause my whole pedalboard to smash on the ground. Thank goodness nothing was damaged inside. I would look elsewhere....
