I've been using this board for several years. It's awesome to have two ins/outs, all your stuff in one place, to no have to spend time plugging and unplugging pedals all the time... but there is one horrid problem. The AC adapter male end is too small for the hole in the board. It falls out all the time, sometimes on its own. It really sucks when you go to hit the wah and are rewarded with silence because the board just unplugged itself. The features are awesome, and it really is an absolutely essential product for gigging guitarists, but the craptacular plug keeps it from getting a better overall rating. I've tried to contact SKB about this, about 10 times, and they have never gotten back to me.

This board is good for a garage band guitarist who is just starting out and needs a basic powered pedal board. It's definitely not a professional unit and it has some serious flaws. Flaw#1-If you're using a wah, you'd better be using an optical one. because stomping on the unit to activate the switch will cause the board to flex and you may not activate the wah afterall.Flaw#2- The built-in power supply has six outputs, but mine will only power 4 pedals simultaneously. Flaw#3 The loop inputs/outputs are either wired or labeled incorrectly. If you're not aware of it ahead of time, setup can be a pain in the rectum.. I'm going to give mine away and upgrade to a better(and more expensive) Pedal Pad unit.

At least it keeps my pedals together.

    By InsertCleverNameHere

I have been using this board for about the past 6 years and it has been slowly failing on me. The first thing to go wrong was that the AC adaptor quit working. No problem, I just used one from one of my pedals. Next, both input/output loops went bad. Solution: I just don't use them anymore. Next I fear that the power supply may be on its way out. Having said all this, I should probably mention that over the past 6 years, this board has seen all kinds of hard use: Everything from obnoxious drunks falling on it to sudden and unexpected downpours during outdoor shows. So I guess I really can't complain. I still get my equipment set up faster than anyone else in my band, thanks primarily to this board.

    did not last

    By drj

within two months of touring, power supply outlets on board were completely shot, and withing 4 months, the plastic board itself has begun to crack and separate. so now i use just the bag. with a new power supply and lucite board. the bag is good, though. durable. decent storage unit.

    it works for me

    By Anonymous

I play a couple of hundred gigs a year and for the past year this board has never failed me. I currently have a wah wah pedal and 8 boss size pedals in this rig. Velcroing the effects into place can be a challenge. but once they are all hooked together they don't move. I like the padded shoulder sling for easy transport. I treat my equipment very well and in return it helps me pay the bills.

    This thing is great!

I love this board. It can power up to six pedals, which is all I really need. The velcro is strong enough to keep your pedals set up during travel. All you do is plug you amp and guitar in the back-mounted jacks, plug the sucker in, and you're ready to rock n' roll!

    bad experiences

    By Sullycaster

The case is very sturdy and can take a licking. I used this for one gig and the power strip does not work anymore. I'm now going to buy a separate power supply and keep the case.

Sadly, the best production line pedal board.

    By James-tfq6O

Don't get me wrong--I like this board. It's simple and works really well most of the time. It has all the needed features (except true bypass) that I'd put in a custom board, which other boards don't. But, it's flimsy in all the wrong places, (Plastic threads and nuts!?) and could have cost a whole lot less than it does.

    Go Hardshell

    By Mike Weaver-BbRgw

    from Booneville,AR

Before I got this, I was using an old Nike box to carry my fx around. This saved me a lot of time as you can well guess. at first, I thought it was the best, but now I realize I needed something with a hardshell case. But for what it is, it does its job. I love the onboared power for the price.
