I've owned a variety of amps and rack systems over 35 years and rarely rave about equipment, but this SWR 350x I bought last year is the perfect combination of everything I've ever needed in a head. Complete ease of use (you SHOULD read the manual) and rack-mountable, this head?s been well-powered enough for any situation I've been in recently (I haven't turned it up beyond 1.5 and always run through the PA). I can't imagine it NOT powering a small-medium club on its own, however. Its 12AX7 tube is in-line BEFORE the XLR-out and sends a fat, warm signal to the board, along with a very accurate-tracking subwave (octaver) if you want it in there. The included Aural Enhancer transforms the entire vibe. Easy-to-dial-in tone, quiet, built like a TANK. Plenty of defined high end. Variable mid shift is very effective. I play mainly rock, using 4- , 6-strings and fretless, SWR 4x10 & 1x15 cabs. Massive, articulate output, phenomenal sound. I truly recommend this amp -- it's excellent.

Dudes and Dudets! My SWR was purchased used on the show room floor in K.C. Even with a knob missing this little gem runs circles around my fellow musicians!

SWR 350 X really kicks

By Bountyhunter200

I just got the 350X and have only used it twice but I will say the tone is so good, I also got the Goliath IV cab to go along with it, this amp is the best amp I have used in the last 43 yrs except for the Ampeg SVT I had when they first came out. This amp sounds as good if not better than my SVT and is a lot easier to haul around. I started to buy the SWR 700 but im glad I got the 350X. If anyone is looking for a great bass amp this is all u will need. The amp will also work using 2, 4, or 8 ohm cabs, the amp will run a little hotter but it wont hurt the amp any. SWR is not a cheap amp but its worth what ya pay for it.

SWR 350X Pro head

By Gary Avrett

from North Texas

Love this amp. Good Clarity, low noise, lots of punch. I use the Line out to feed the Tuner and a graphic EQ in the Effects loop. Love the Blend and Aural Enhancer. Great amp but slightly pricey.Quality is second to none! Top quality components throughout featuring German Wima coupling caps and a preamp tube socket that is like pulling teeth to remove the tube. The sound I get is perfect for my needs.

Almost perfection

By Myramyd-ziodL

from Ogden, UT

I have been using this amp along with a 4x10 Cab for a few months and the sound quality is near perfection. My only complaint is that it's not quite enough watts to push my cabinet to the volume I sometimes need for my style of music. (I play for a Tool tribute band.) Other than that, it's near audiophile caliber in tone quality. It is both warm and punchy, very full across all frequencies and the Aural Enhancer really adds an extra dimension. I would highly recommend this line of amps to anyone.

Great SWR sound

By Anonymous

I finally got around to upgrading/updating my equipment. I have always been a SWR fan but this time around I tried out a few of the competitors. I have to say that the SWR was the absolute best! After ten years with the SWR rigs; they still rock and are even better than ever! PS: Sounds great with the Goliath III(x2).

I have used this amp a bunch of times and I really would like to own one. It is probably the best amp I have used.

Great head. Straight to the point.

This head is strong and straight to the point. No graphic e.q. to confuse things. Simple. If you can't get the sound you're looking for with active bass, mid, and treble controls it's probably not the right head for you. I feel that the sound should be close to what you want with the settings set flat. Then go ahead and fine tune. This head sounds great and is easily powerful enough for most clubs when using a four ohm cab or two eight ohm cabs. I have the old red face version.

I love the the sub bass sound, quality is garbage

The feature with the built in octive is nice, although the tone quality is some GARBAGE! Need some more EQ blends on it!
